I’d say all financial focus will be on the 1st team for the foreseeable future. The academy, underage teams and the likes of the Ladies team might be surplus to requirements next season.
That will be interesting. Just before the takeover went through, a new coach (A Licence I'm told) arrived to take over running the "Ladies" team. This is the side which was supposed to be entered in the u19 WNL in 2022.

As dundalkfc1903 said, the underage Boys teams are a licensing requirement, unlike the girls teams.

Stephen O'Donnell to be announced sometime after the cup final is doing the rounds.

Would definitely be a coup, especially if Pats win the cup. Rumour seems to be gathering pace.

very unlikely sod comes in .

Pat's took a big risk and it paid off . He seems like a great guy and has the Kenny magic stable thing going on. But pats have mathews and lots of other stallwarts helping him out . If a pat fenlon level director of football maybe with him underneath

would love to see sod as our manager one day , but right now it would be a bad move for us , and possibly a worse move for him

It will all feel bit aonghus mcNally being a guest on the late late for the 17th time In the 90's , but announce perth ffs ,
or announce someone with a better cv

this delay is a bad sign , feels magiltony

Unless O Donnell was given assurance that 6 or 7 players are staying , no reason for him to leave Pats. Hoban and O Donnell are both from Galway, I thought Hoban would be Pats bound as they need a finisher.

It's the type of Chinese whisper that comes from a single - unreliable - source and everyone wants to believe. Wouldn't surprise me if it was started by a Bohs fan in an attempt to de-stabilise Pat's. Think the same rumour about Stephen Kenny 48 hours before one of our cup finals.

Well whatever is going on , there’s no doubt all leaks have been well and truly plugged, even the rovers fan on Twitter AllthingsLOI has shut up since his source has dried up. Remember when FG left there was name after name and rumour after rumour about who’d take over. Zero rumours on players coming or going as well. Good stuff from the owners imo

agree that leaks are bad , but the silence fuels rumour
the longer it goes on the harder it is to make up time .

If you can agree a take over in a few days, you can
agree player contracts and a manager quickly

Best case scenario is whoever is to be manager is already getting on with it but can't be announced for technical reasons etc
If that's not the case, , given how far behind /little players we have tied down .... It could get to shambles territory

hopefully it's just a coms delay , and not a decision making delay

Could we be waiting to appoint Long/ODonnell & are obviously waiting until after the cup final to announce this.Suprised Trevor Crolly hasn't been mentioned as a possible managerial candidate.

May also be delaying new signing/contracts announcements to tie in with the new jersey/Season ticket launch..

What I have heard is that the players they want to retain have been given offers to consider and most of the players have been taking time off this week anyway with the season over. Assuming players and club agree in time, announcements will be made alongside the shirt launch and opening of the Christmas shop.

I personally think that the manager decision is waiting because the person they want is in employment. I’d like to think people have enough cop on to know that the new owners inherited a shambles that is going to need time to fix and haven’t magically created one inside a fortnight just because they haven’t announced a rake of new contracts already.

don't fully disagree , but if you can ship out the youth set up , get the board decision/connonly decision in place ....

meanwhile only 3 players , no manager , no back room etc .

would be a bold , potentially good move for long - who's maybe taken bohs far enough . SOD would be a terrible move for him and us . Too hight risk

If whoever it is, they are involved ( informally etc ) in the contract offers ( even though the players dont even know who the manager will be ) that would be good at least

if there is nothing agreed in the background ..... And talks ( including what players he wants ) are not very advanced ... It's concerning

Now with all games settled I'd be disappointed if we don't have a manager in place this week. Regardless of the mess left behind we need to get planning
