Postby markcono77 » Fri Apr 28, 2017 3:30 pm

Does anyone know where i could find info on season ticket numbers sold for Dundalk over the last few years? or even last year?

I'm sure that info would be confidential and perhaps would only be released in statement of annual figures if Dundalk was a public limited company. Outside, you'll never know. You could also count all the seats in the stand with names on them and add another 10/20 % to that for remaining stand season ticket holders. 10/20% of ground support I would estimate are season ticket holders. Again, I've plucked these out of my @***!

I see that Season Tickets for 2018 will only be available from Oriel Park this year and not the Marshes. No details yet.

Seems a strange decision. It's common sense that anything that makes it more difficult for customers to spend money should be avoided

Oriel Park vs Marshes is not a huge deal EXCEPT that OP is only open 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday. I suppose it's an indication that cashflow over the close season has not been an issue since the takeover.

It would obviously be more convenient for some people if they could purchase a season ticket from either location.

If the typical cost is close to €200, I doubt that there will be many impulse purchase lost sales in the Christmas gift market, but having them available only in Oriel Park gives more control, and is administratively tighter to manage

Sorry oldfogey I didn't mean to sound glib.
The reason for it I can see if they want to keep ST money seperate from merchandise cash. Not sure why in this day and age.

Is there an expectation that ST costs will increase?

I would imagine they will, 18 homes games now compared to 16/17 the last few years

It also appears that the actual playing season will be extended to accomodate the extra games and will increase other expenditure. Internally, we have the additional cost of 52 week contracts for some/possibly all players.

I would certainly expect an increase in the stand where demand has reached/exceeded availability.

Still excellent value for my ticket, general stand, only an increase of €20, but 2 extra games compared to 2016, first increase in a long time too.
