Daniel McDonnell in the Indo said much the same. The thoughts of taking a silent seat in the auditorium are obviously even more depressing than us getting knocked out.

Re: FAI Senior Cup 2017
That's a very dangerous tie for us.
One of the nicest things I can imagine is beating Cork in the final.

It sure is a tough tie, and as OF has mentioned, no second chance with this one either.
I think all games apart from the Semi Final will be decided on the day.

Derry are very hot and cold. Hopefully we catch them on a cold day. If we play to the best of our abilities we'll go through.

Re: FAI Senior Cup 2017
If we play like we played in the two CL legs, it'll be done and dusted by half-time. It will be interesting from a selection point of view as it comes 4/6 days after the EA SF in Galway, a game we will definitely want to win. If Cork beat Rovers in the other semi, the final is nailed on for Turners Cross. #payback.

Re: FAI Senior Cup 2017
Drawn away to Crumlin, same as last year when we won 5-0.
Match was played in Oriel last year - same again please?

Re: FAI Senior Cup 2017
I think the closest LOI ground to them is St Pats, they might use that, but they were happy to concede home advantage last year.
I don't think you are allowed to compensate this financially but they will get a better cut of the gate as you're probably looking at around twice or maybe 3 times the crowd if its played in Oriel.

Re: FAI Senior Cup 2017
I thought there was something in the rules about not conceding home advantage. They can still nominate Oriel Park as their ground, "do a deal" on rent, and then split the gate as if they are the home team. Did Crumlin (or maybe Sheriff) do that in the past, used home dressing room and wore white and black?

Re: FAI Senior Cup 2017
Same as last year I'd presume. We were drawn away to Crumlin last season also and in the same round. If Crumlin were happy with their dividend return from OP last year I'm sure they will opt again
