The cup scheduling with rounds each fortnight is weird - particularly for the clubs who are knocked out!

I presume that the draw takes place on Monday evening on Soccer Republic?

Anyone at Oriel Park please

I'm sure that's what they said on RTE radio yesterday afternoon.

Playing at home is the key - excellent draw!

Rovers fans moaning about the home of football
"Surely Rovers as a club need to look for a bigger and better quality section for our fans now. There's a lot of fans we all know I'm sure that do not travel to Oriel as its like we're are sheep been penned into a terrible little area. The FAI should look at themselves as to how they can allow the hosting of a national senior cup semi final take place in such a ground. But they never will do that. So we need our club, ROVERS to have our back"

Tell you what, when the day comes that visiting fans can attend SDCC's local sports arena WITHOUT the need for protection from the public order unit, you are more than welcome to come on here and criticize Oriel Park.

Easy solution here, we can erect the same temporary stand that was in place for League Cup final 2014, and Cork game same year, house Rovers fans there, and the bill can be evenly split between the FAI and Rovers. Increased attendance suit everyone, they can then take 1k up or whatever and both clubs get a cut of the extra crowd.

The 4.45 kick off time could be messy though, that lot are liable to be in the town early doors on the beer.

I certainly wouldn't be doing that, give them the minimum number of tickets, an increase in their support will only benefit their team, plus it will only increase the security operation required.

Instead of them moaning about OP and wanting their club to lobby for them maybe they should focus their efforts on helping a fellow LOI club and lobby Louth CoCo to build us a new ground, win win for everyone.
