Good signings on Friday by the way, Hoban being the obvious stand out, the other two are decent also.

I'm not impressed by Murray's stats. I also like my attackers to have height

What are you not impressed with about his stats? 17 goals in 38 games in a relegated team seems like a brilliant return to me...maybe I am clueless though. As for height...that's a bit harsh. Quite a lot of the best strikers wouldn't be the tallest. Who would you suggest is better?

His stats in the UK did not impress. As for height, that's just a personal opinion. I know there are exceptions but do you not think that being 6 feet plus in the box is an advantage?

Hoban doesn't exactly have the best stats from his time in the UK but is being welcomed as a hero for some reason. I do think having 6 feet plus in the box can be an advantage but don't think it's a necessity. Kilduff was tall and was pillored here despite his height and McMillan isn't blessed with height and as has been pointed out neither is Maguire or Dinny Corcoran and they have given a good return so don't think it's a major advantage especially in our league.

Guys I can't believe there are even question marks about Murray, this is an excellent signing. He will provide an extra dimension to our attack and he is one tidy player. This is a signifciant signing.

Also it might surprise many, but Hoban is not 6ft, just under, only recognised that when he was standing next to Folan.

It is the norm for some journo to link Rovers with any decent player on the market. I fear the biggest threat to Patrick re-signing with us may be from cross-channel.

With Dundalk moving to daytime training and Vinny already having a daytime job, this may appeal to him.

I would be sorry to see him go.

Collie O'Neill (UCD) also linked, think he is from Drogs. I wouldn't be going near there if I was VP, they haven't bob to spend either I think.

They've spoken to Tony Cousins too. Bizarre how long they've taken to make a decision.

Perhaps it is not the Drogs who are slow to make a decision?
