It's great to see McEleney back and with such a long contracr. He wouldn't be ready to start straight away. I just hope this doesn't signal the end of Adjordans time at the club. He has finally settled and hopefully he's loan will be extended. Maybe the Italian club want him back.

Good to see Kelly signed. We lack proper back up to Hoban. Tagbajumis time at the club could be near an end, but it just hasn't worked out for him.

Great news! Our new owners are true to their word. Strengthening the squad was their stated priority. Improving Oriel was way down the line.
I presume this means the door for Adorjan? To me he was just so-so. Maybe he didn't get enough game time...

No, I did mean Adorjan - and I presume Marco will be on his way too following the signing of Kelly.

A lot of talk about Dylan Watts this morning.

Are we putting together a reserve side to replace Bray Wanderers?

I had forgotten about Stephen in the squad. Probably shows how far he's dropped down the pecking order.

See Bradley must be sucking the same lemons as Caulfield, he has a right go at Dundalk in today’s Star newspaper for signing McEleney and paying a fee after him leaving for free in December, more or less saying Dundalk have made the league a laughing stock, maybe somebody could put up the piece in question.

The lad from the Irish Sun claiming Watts has changed his mind about Dundalk.

Bradley's comments make more sense than Caulfield's, if you forget Rovers were in for him too. But he's right in that McEleney didn't entertain staying with us, walked for nothing, chose a sinking ship in England, failed spectacularly (regardless of mitigating factors) and now we've paid handsomely to get 'our' player back. It's what I thought of when the news was confirmed and left a bit of a sour taste, given that from the word go the Oldham move looked like a load of bollox.

But all that being said the bit about the League being a 'laughing stock' is nonsense - business is business, contracts are contracts and talent is hard to come by. Is the English Premier League a laughing stock because Man Utd bought back former youth player Paul Pogba for mega-millions? The League was a far bigger laughing stock when Fenn pulled the stunt he did, enabled by Rovers.
There's only one word for that - magic darts...
