Was reading back over this thread to see what peoples opinions of McEleney were when he left. Had to share this one below. Definitely had worries about Hoban myslef. Mad how wrong Johnny was.

Looks like Dylan Watts could be off to Tallaght

GREENE AND WHITE Shamrock Rovers look set to sign Aaron Greene and in-demand midfielder Dylan Watts
Greene will rejoin his former club from cash-strapped Bray and highly-rated Watts could join him in Tallaght

How long is the the transfer window open? If Money was no object, if you had a choice of one, what current LOI player would you want coming to Oriel now? Or indeed you would prefer no additions.

If it does appear likely that we missed out on Watts, it would be a huge boost to get a deal done with Adjoran sooner rather than later this month. We know he’s still under contract with the Italian club, if they released him we should be looking to offer him a 2.5 year deal.

Would also help if Chvedukas could push on injury free and show us what he can do, remember he is on a 2 year deal.

How wrong I was indeed. Hoban definitely has come back 3 times the player he left us as.

Heres hoping Mceleney can come back twice the player

Answering my own question I would go for Supple

I would get Duffy onto a 3/4 year contract.

Assuming Benson intends leaving, given he only wanted to sign another 1-year deal, McNamee. Wasted at Cork.

Kenny's gone in for the war of words with Bradley and Caulfield tonight...

Anyway looks like he's offering Sam Byrne a deal. They obviously see something in him if he can get fit.

It's hard to argue with what Stephen Kenny has to say.

He has taken Dundalk from next to nothing resources-wise and has earned the right to spend as the club sees fit.

Interesting to hear that SK will retain Sam Byrne and also dismisses any speculation Ronan Murray will leave on loan.

He obviously see potential in Byrne
