At tops 5 first choice players?

I'd be going full strength and no mistake. This could be a tricky enough match with a pitch that is by reports not great. The cup has to be a massive focus for us, we need the big guns tomorrow.

League is over, we're out of Europe. Need to play a full strength side here. No issue with giving maybe Grimes or Hoare a run out but we can't really take any chances

Same 11 again please. With 2nd all but secured after last weeks win in Buncrana, we will, have plenty of game time for fringe players in the coming weeks with an eye for next season.

Benson and O'Donnell have hamstring strains. Would you risk either of them missing the rest of the season?

That midfield could be considered full strength from what is available. Mountneys form has been excellent lately but we've paid a sizeable fee for Connolly and we actually havent seen much of him.

If you mean we have already qualified for the EL, thats not correct. I'd say we will finish comfortably in second, but mathematically we are not even assured of 3rd place and the final EL spot yet.

Back to today, I would be tempted to start Connolly, his pace could be a very important factor, these guys remember have nothing to lose, I'm a little worried about the pitch if reports are true its not great, but its start of their season. hopefully it will be ok.

We need to start quickly and dominate from early stages, still could be very tricky, we need our best 11 to make sure we get into the last 8.

I doubt SK will make many unenforced changes. If that is so and there is no complacency a convincing win will surely follow

Lacklustre performance, but Crumlin worked hard to be fair.

At 2-1 the result is always in doubt, even if the gap between the sides was big.

What was the attendance like lads, those who went and how many from Dlk? The pitch looked ok on photos I saw.

It sounded like they made hard work of it ok from dlk fm reports, but the most important takeway is we are in the draw for the QF on mon night.

Hard to say what the attendance was, but it was very low, well under 1000 I'd guess.
It was heavy going, awful to watch. MOTM for me was Duffy, Hoare played well and Vemmelund put in another very competent performance.

Yeah, tough watch. Crumlin quite physical and very well coached. They obviously felt they had a chance by bringing the game to Dublin with a narrow pitch. Dundalk lots of possession but unable to cut many chances. Dundalk never out of second gear. Tough for those who travelled from the town. It was a nice cycle across the city for myself lovely afternoon. Crumlin never looked like causing an upset even at 1-1. Their number 3 and 5 were very good. Number 3 made connolly look very average.

For the peno, what was the keeper doing? He should have been booked and peno retaken with the knocking of the posts!

Fai official was an embarrassment at the game and a reflection of the arrogant fai the way he spoke to some Dundalk supporters.

Well done crumlin for hosting the game.
