It's hard to get excited for this one - but then again it is a cup final with a beautiful piece of silverware on offer.

We last one this cup in 2015 beating Rovers in the final

SK not happy about being 'forced' to play the game this week.

Similar line up to UCD in the semis, Sava, Grimes, Clifford, Kinsella, Stewart, Mountney if fit and the rest coming from the 19s

Team news

Dundalk have a few injury worries to contend with however it is likely that team selection will be consistent with previous rounds of the competition.

Shelbourne were deserving winners tonight.

They worked very hard for each other, closed us down quickly and had a match winner in sub James English who our young central defenders found to be a real handful.

They had a vocal travelling support who relished the victory and getting their hands on some silverware - something that they have not experienced in some time.

Twas putrid stuff in the first half. I was disappointed with the performance of our first teamers McGrath and Grimes. They did not lead by example and had no positive effect on the game. Carlton had a poor game also, considering he is on the fringes of the first team squad.

Our number 8 Jake O'Connor & number 2 James Woods (after a nervy start) were the most impressive of the U-19s.
We dont have a track record of bringing through youths to the first team and I didn't witness anything tonight to suggest that will change anytime soon.
Cliffords goal was a peach and he was unlucky to see another long range effort come back off the inside of the post.
