Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics
I’ve opened this thread for those who like a dose of stats every so often ……. For the rest please look away!
Stat 1
Robbie Benson’s goal on Tuesday night against Shamrock Rovers was the 500th competitive goal in the 5-year old King Kenny era that has now existed for over 240 games.

Stat 2
7 players have contributed a minimum of 27 goals as follows:-
Number of seasons [x]…all goals…[League goals]
Stat 3
Except in the case of FAI Cup goals, where he shares the leading scorer with Richie Towell, where both are credited with 6 goals, Dave McMillan heads the scorers list for all the main categories as follows:-
Leading all games 73; leading League 51; Leading Euro 7; leading League Cup 6.
With his73 all games score, he is now in 9th place in the all-time club list. He is in 6th place in the All Time League with 51 goals, just 3 goals behind Paddy Turner and Turlough O’Connor who both have 54 goals to their credit.
At his present scoring rate, he has the 2nd (Jimmy Hasty with 59) and 3rd (Joe Martin with 58) places in his sights.

Some interesting stuff there Jim, none more so, im my opinion, than Brian Gartland has 31 goals!! That is an amazing stat for a center half.
