188Bet currently quoting 1/100 on Dundalk as outright league winners. There is an inevitability about those odds.

Speaking of Devon Loch, Jim McLauglin mentioned that horse in an interview that did the rounds earlier this year, i can't find it now. It was from 1976 after beating Rovers in Milltown, a few games to go but almost over the line.

Devon Loch link accepted, should as expected we win the 2018 league, I think this will be another record for the club.

I believe we will then have the most ever Premier Division titles, ie from when the LOI split into two divisions from 1984/85. This year will be our 7th PD title, previously won in 1988, 91, 95, 2014, 15, 16 (2018)

It would also be the clubs 13th overall, which SK will have won 4, or just over 30% !

I’d say it’s safe to assume that the Pats game will be on tv too as that could be the match it all becomes official.

I'm not so sure. Irrespective of when we clinch it - Pats, Waterford, or Sligo - the trophy presentation would be at the Sligo game. I figure that's the TV one, if they bother. Rovers play Waterford the same night in what could effectively decide 3rd place. Unless ourselves AND Cork are in the Cup Final, that game is to guarantee European football.

If you remember back to last season, Cork were on every week until they finally got across the line! If not RTE then eir will most likely have the Pats game. As for the trophy presentation, you’re probably right, the Rovers/Waterford game is the more attractive one and then cut to OP for the Coronation!!

Just thinking...............the last match v Bohs will probably be a Cup Final rehearsal.

With Bohs 13 points adrift of 3rd, and 3 teams above them, they will hardly have anything to play for, and won't want to risk injuries.

We, on the other hand, could be looking to break 90 points for the season. Could be interesting.

Kind of cool that we got to 'win' the League last Friday.
And we get to kind of win it tonight.
Then we get to actually win it against Pats.
Then we win the trophy after the Bray game!

Right so, we win the League again against Pats... new manager, might be iffy on the night... party again!

Then Agent Kenny sends the reserves to Waterford. Throw the game in the hope they pip Rovers for Europe. I'm deadly serious. Also now want Cork to win a football match for the first time in a long time!!!

Then we get the trophy against Sligo. Party again!!

Happy days!

It will certainly be nice to take in and savour this title win. The nervy moments are for going for the double now and to a lesser extent seeing new records set.
Its been outlined before but 2nd,1st, 1st,1st, 2nd 1st, 3 and maybe 4 FAI Cup finals and a chance of a 2nd double, add in the League Cup wins and yes even the LSC as it is simply a nice trophy ;p It makes nice reading and there is more yet in seasons to come no doubt!! After the near death experience of the club and the 1st Division days when at our lowest ebb being excluded from the 'elite' clubs, point deductions being overturned and putting us out of a promotion play-off, finishing 2nd bottom of the 1st which at the time meant humiliation of seeking re-election to the league regardless of it being a formality, 3rd last of all clubs the following year too well we have every right to sit back and enjoy this steady march to being 2018 champions and everything else under our incredible manager. The cream really does always rise to the top!! (even if it did sour for us a few times first).

Bray? I think u mean Bohs... and we would surely be presented the trophy at the last home match v sligo
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

A win away in Cork would be necessary for that. But if it turns out to be won away in Waterford it will not be any tragedy
