And we get to kind of win it tonight.
Then we get to actually win it against Pats.
Then we win the trophy after the Bray game!

Bray? I think u mean Bohs... and we would surely be presented the trophy at the last home match v sligo

I meant Sligo.

This isn't me taking results for granted or anything but *in theory* if we win the next four games we can 'win' the League on the 5th October at home to Pats, regardless of Cork's other results.

Two of the next 3 leagues games are stiff tests (Rovers at home and Cork away) - pass them and maybe we can start to look at it then

A win away in Cork would be necessary for that. But if it turns out to be won away in Waterford it will not be any tragedy

Greatness is finally acknowledged.

Or is it grateness?

Played 32 (0); Points 79 (+12) Goal difference 59 (+25)

Fri 28 Sep FAI Cup SF Dundalk v UCD kick-off 7.30pm Live on RTE2
Fri 5 Oct Dundalk v St Patrick's Ath. Live on RTE2
Fri 12 Oct Waterford v Dundalk
Fri 19 Oct Dundalk v Sligo Rovers
Fri 26 Oct Bohemians v Dundalk

I'm glad we have business all but finished in September. St Pats players will be looking to impress whoever their new manager is likely to be, Waterford are still vying with Rovers for the guaranteed Europa League spot, and Bohs are on a real flyer. Only the Sligo game looks relatively easy.

The excellent Eamonn Sweeney, a big LOI fan has a really good article about Dundalk in the Sun Indo sports supplement today. Can’t find it online, but it’s worth buying the paper alone for it.

Have Rovers even finished higher than 4th since SK left? possibly 3rd once come to think of it, but 4th seems to have been their avg finish last 6 years or so.

They were third three of the last four seasons. More importantly fo rthem though they've qualified for Europe the last 5 seasons in a row, which helps keep the finances ticking over.

I didn’t realise Rovers came 3rd more than once in that period, but you’re right re euro and the monies, keeps them going. Then again they have been so off the radar their seasons of late have hardly been noticed by many.

If its the same as the print edition I read yesterday I thought it was a very poor piece with a good few errors. Talking about the 3rd consecutive final between the 2 clubs for example, A rambling filler piece by a usually very good Journalist. The article on Sean Gannon inside the sporting supplement was excellent!

edit: not the same piece above as the print edition.

Talking about silly errors I wish the FAI would go and reverse the Drogheda and Dundalk crests so they are in the correct position on the printed map in the match programme yesterday. Its not a particularly big deal just typically and unnecessarily sloppy and it was the same in last years programme.

Yeh, saw that, looked really shoddy. Can't imagine the English FA mixing up Liverpool and Manchester. Cork/Cobh wrong as well, and Galway in the wrong location iirc
