Away leg comes first. So just travel to Graz or Amsterdam directly from Cyprus?

Incredibly tough draw but most possible third round draws were going to be very tough. Just shows how hard it's going to be yo make inroads in Europe. Also shows how important it is to go into Europe via the Champions League next year!

presumably it will be SK Sturm and I see they picked up 2.5 co efficient points last season so could be a team on the way up.

We'll be playing the losers of that tie so it most likely will be Sturm Graz.

Ajax are heavy favourites with the bookies 1/4 to qualify for the next round while we are 6/4

I had thought that all CL losers were kept together in their own half of the draw (ie Cork will play losers of Celtic /Rbk ) but it looks like the non champions in the CL qualifiers are thrown into out half of the draw- hence the losers of this tie v Dundalk. Awful draw anyway, that's three bad draws this season

I don't think it is that bad of a draw. No matter who we get we were always going to be underdogs and up against it. Of the seeded side there was much of a muchness of who we faced. Maybe Burnley or Aberdeen might of been easier as their leagues would only be commencing but we still would be viewed as ranked outsiders

FWIW, last year's Rosenborg team went on to face Ajax in the EL play-off round, and beat them. Considering how close we ran Rosenborg, I wouldn't be quaking in my boots at the thought of playing the current Ajax team. Then again, a lot can change in 12 months (though you'd also say that the current Dundalk side are playing better than 12 months ago).

They've lost Kluivert but have re-signed Daley Blind and got Dusan Tadic as well! Not to be looking ahead of Larnica as that's going to be a hard tie for us but sure we can dream, it's what European Football is all about and with the way we play we've got a chance against anyone. As always though and it applies to every European game, Larnica included, it's always the little lapses in concentration that can do us in.
