Re: Official Takeover Thread
I would have thought all would have been sorted at the start of the week, they am sure would be targeting this season for success and would be willing to give Stephen more transfer funds.

Unless Kenny has been offered the Ireland job!
The agent of the Swedish striker that was linked, tweeted the other day that he would have him over before the end of the week, but he has since deleted the tweet.
There is rumoured to be two signings in addition to that one so maybe they are waiting to present them all together?

Last week / this week for signing off takeover hardly makes any difference if deal is happening. If extra budget is in the plan SK will be fully in the loop and planning accordingly.

Re: Official Takeover Thread
Seems to be dragging on ok, Maybe we will hear news next week, I'm still 50/50 on the positives on the take over but if the current owners (who have done a brilliant job) think its time to sell, who else is coming in to fund things ?
As long as a strong business model is in place, a good budget is given and to have plans for redevelopment, I think the medium term might be bright, but there is always a worry about how it will end, then again that is no different with most LOI clubs.

Dragging on is an understatement. Have held off from buying a season ticket on the strength of the lack of information to supporters. All the talk about demolishing our joke of a ground , that gets ridiculed every time it's on the airwaves , is hard to take.

More information would be very welcome, but implying that you may not buy a season ticket because of that is really stretching credibility.
If you don'y buy a season ticket, do you intend to pay at the gate instead, or is it a full boycott you are considering?

Re: Official Takeover Thread
With or without any takeover there isnt likely to be much of Oriel Park changed by the start of the season. If we had €100million lodged to a bank this morning it would make little difference in the short term. It could well be next season before we see any serious work done. Tallaght was how many years derelict because they made a shambles of the development. We will all find out what is happening in due course without the need for anyone to have a stroke getting stressed out by the waiting.
Didnt all European games get played in Dublin in the past until Oriel Park became one of the best grounds in the country fit to hold the games. It will happen again!!

There appears to be an assumption that Peak6 will deliver a new stadium at Oriel Park.
That would be marvelous, but I suggest that it is a premature hope
