Michael Knighton never bought united and it remained in family control of the Edwards family I think.

Knighton's bid fell apart as he had no cash to invest and was hoping the publicity would garner financial backing from other parties. When it became obvious no one else was willing at the time then it fell down like a house of cards.
That is almost similar to Amanda Staveley attempted purchase of newcastle.

Peak6 are a lot further down the line. Guess we just have to wait and see what develops.

And can someone please fix the fucking puddle

He did end up with a seat on the board after abandoning his buyout bid. He later became owner of Carlisle Utd

No, he promised the sun moon and stars in terms of huge investors he was putting together, then they did their Due Diligence and he didn't have anything like he told them, he bought a United in the end, if memory serves me right it was Carlisle.

The away end could be completey cleared of rubble, move down the top partition hoarding to go behind the last row of seats to box it in a little. Purchase or hire long term at least 10-15 more portable toilets for the ground and put a damn roof on both sides of the stand. All of these things can be removed if they ever decided to invest properly. Then do something to the awful eye sore that is behind the goal in the town end. Puddle. Not even going there. Deep clean the stand and install better sound and lighting over the ground. Improve the toilets in the stand beside the merchandise shop.

Of course nothing of the sort will be done.
Our previous owners had the club for 5 years and in that time didn't;
Fix the puddle
Clean up the away end
Fix the wonky seats in the stand
Put in extra toilets
Put a lick of paint near the place
And only put in a new sound system on the last game of last season.

And now people are complaining that the new owners haven't got all that done in their first week? Seriously.

All joking aside, gonna sound like a broken record but for the love of God sort out the puddle behind the town goals it’s embarrassing another pair of shoes destroyed walking in the mud to avoid the water

The infamous puddle was today probably as bad as its ever been. It's embarrassing at this stage, how much is a bag of gravel?? Not much I'd guess!

A bag or two of sand would be a stop gap. It's actually embarrassing bringing non regulars to games

Must be the only ground in the country with a big section of grass banking still in the ground. The fooking state of the place. . It goes without saying that the ground will not be turned into the noucamp over night but 10 grand and a fortnight's work would do an awful lot of good

Fúck 'em - they rent a pitch. The Munster FA / FAI paid for their away section to be covered. That's it - facilities are no better than Oriel for away fans otherwise. Open air urinal and a chemical loo. Access point buried in a housing estate etc

The away section should be bottom of the list of things to improve.
