Gutted to be missing this one. After recent long trips tom Cork and Waterford, its not possible work wise.

While most on here I'm sure would settle for a point, I'm sure SK and the lads will be all out for 3 points. To have the chance to go 2 clear is a massive incentive. I really don't believe Derry are as good as some are making out. In the OP match we should have been out of sight by the 30th min.

Personally I feel so much hinges on Benson, Murray/McGrath. If they can give Hoban the support he needs and deserves, this match is for the taking.

Its also worth noting that Waterford have 2 VERY winnable matches this week against the bottom 2, Bray tonight and Limerick on Friday.

Looks like:

Rogers
Poynton-Gartland-Hoare-Massey
Benson-Shields
Connolly-McGrath-Duffy
Hoban

I think Jarvis can count himself very unlucky. I'd also be worried about Shields getting overrun in that system, and Derry are sure to target our right hand side. I'd really like to see him try three in the middle and drop one of the attacking midfielders.

If we play as well as the individual players on our team are all capable of we should win, but with the wobbly defending recently and the amount of presentable chances being fluffed just keeping a clean sheet would be a positive.

1-0 Derry after 12 minutes.

All us for a few minutes - couple of missed half chances, then Derry carve us open twice, win a corner off Poynton and score from a bad clearance.

1-1 Garts free header from a corner after Dundalk had a couple of great volleys saved, Patterson had earlier missed a bit of a sitter.

1-2 Dundalk! Benson!!

Patterson had scored a cracker a couple of minutes earlier from a badly cleared free, but someone was offside

1-2 half time. Both teams have had more chances to score, Hoban and Connolly squandering chances.

That graphic said that Derry had 2 shots in the game, that is a shocking number from a home team
