I trust SK above you. I think he know some when a game needs a sub a lot better than any fan.

I think you may have missed El Paso's point. It was more got to do with the lack of sharpness of the fringe players rather than the timing of the substitutes in any given game.

There might be other alternatives to rotating players in order to keep them sharp and fit, but based on last night we have not found them.

The 3 candidates to replace Hoban played last night and although 2 of them scored they were miles off the pace

I'm not so sure that I'd agree with the headline suggestion - Pablo Cavalcante may have caught the eye to the extent that he played reasonably amidst many abject performances. Maybe a 6/10. Interesting to hear other views

Definitely played first half like a team who never played with each other before but I had expected a lot better than what was on view for the first period anyway. Sloppy play, poor passing to name but two faults. Perhaps a good talking too was had at half time because we came out much sharper & fluent & played much better second half & deserved the win. It's good for a lot of the players that they have a semi final to look forward to in Tallaght v Rovers & good luck to them.

It's only the quarter final in Tallaght - so 3 more wins before being able to get hands on this venerable trophy
