I dont like it either. Looks kinda american if that makes sense...like something an MLS team would have.

I wouldnt change it either. It would be change for the sake of change and the existing one is straight away recognised as the Dundalk FC crest in this country and maybe beyond too. The last change while not of the clubs doing did not go down well when the martlets were literally given wings. If there was to be a change maybe on the alternative kits and a look back at former versions rather than another one.

Also...

Kind of thinking it's about time we had a club anthem.

No cliche shit like Seven Nation Army or or Brewing Up a Storm or anything by AC/DC

Kinda liked Doves' 'Black and White Town' but the lyrics are a bit... nope!

So how about Bob Marley's 'Three Little Birds'?

I think “Three Little Birds” has taken that mantle even if it’s somewhat unofficial.

Great choice and appropriate at so many levels, team should run out to that every game bettter than the shite that is played that has meaning or resonance with the club

I hate that 3 little birds shite. Apart from 3 martlets being on the town crest the song has absolutely nothing to do with dundalk.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

I remember it being sung with great gusto down in Waterford after we knew we were staying up.

The “every little thing is gonna be alright” line meant so much and was fairly profetic.

What song has something to do with Dundalk apart from something by the Corrs or some shite ballad from a million years ago . 3 little birds is a good tune with good lyrics, don’t worry about a thing when you are watching Dundalk as every little thing is going to be alright

Fairly major 'apart from' I would have thought, but obviously I missed all those universally recognised amazing songs about Dundalk when I was growing up that are more appropriate.

Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!
Rise up this mornin',
Smile with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true...

You can't find any meaning in being a football fan and a Dundalk fan in that?

3 Little Birds is probably the most appropriate song we are ever going to have. It’s just a pity Maroon 5 are murdering it on every ad break during the World Cup.

They are the strongest reason not to adopt it. That advert and murderous version is driven me to the point of distraction (BTW I though child locks became a thing about 25 years ago!)
