A win is crucial tonight, strong team out tonight so I'm hopeful enough. Word of scraps between fans in Courtney's, anyone there see what happened?

Heard they came off train no colours and into Kennedy's and threatened fans with glasses and bottles and garda dog Corp pushed them back.

Thought we were very poor at 1-0. Heat was obviously a factor but their pukeball dragged the game back. Absolutely delighted to win obviously but it was a bit lucky and at 1-1 I was fairly down.

He is just stating the facts.

Look at the comparison of goals scored and conceded. Paul Corry made the same point in his article on the RTE website.

Fifty-eight goals in 23 matches in an unbelievable stat. They also have the best defensive record in the league, conceding just ten goals.

That shows that the Lilywhites are as good at the back as they are at the other end of the pitch and also proves that playing attacking, passing, attractive football, doesn’t necessarily mean you are too open at the back.

They’ve netted 16 times in their last four league outings alone, winning eight in a row and sweeping aside everyone before them.

Cork’s stats are not as impressive, with 45 goals scored and 14 conceded, yet they’ve won one more game than Dundalk and are a point ahead of them in the league.

Let's be realistic.

City are on top of the league and that's what counts for starters. Dundalk's goalscoring stats mean nothing if you don't finish top. Your club has scored 13 goals in two games against Limerick and Bray in the league. Would it have made a difference if they were both 1-0 wins? We have matched you besides those two games against woeful sides.

They are not exactly strong stats that some are basing their opinion that Dundalk are a better side than City. Paul Corry's piece was a lazy man's effort.

Hey Kezz, hows your stats now kid??!!

Absolutely delighted with the result, I really don’t care how we done it all that Matters is 3 points and to be honest we where long overdue a bit of luck . On a side note the referee was shocking all night and gave some baffling decisions.

Ref was a farce. They should have finished with 9 men. My favourite bit was Morley on RTÉ accusing Hoban of play acting then changing his mind when he saw the replay of bennet trying to break his jaw

Gerry Malone seems to have interviewed approximately 58 people in Oriel Park tonight. Here's another one, some foreign lad Gerry calls krristian adjouran

Nothing less than we deserved. We were the better team and I think we’ve shaken the hoodoo off our back when it comes to cork. We’re in the driving seat and it’s still early but titles are won on nights like tonight.
The natural balance of Irish football has returned for good.

I'm usually his biggest critic but as least he had some up. Still buzzing from tonight but can't find any interviews anywhere else which is unusual.

On the match felt we played ok maybe just slightly off with final balls etc but although we probably deserved the win i really couldn't care less tonight was all about 3 points. So many times against them we've come away feeling like we didn't get what we deserved so tonight was badly overdue.

Have to disagree. Don't think we were very poor. We had some lovely passages of play but no end product. No shot on McNulty the whole first half which I agree was very poor. We were by far the better team for about 75-80 minutes of that game. Cork looked unfit and lacking pace.
