I also heard the FAI have cancelled all matches over the country on the day of the final. I assume this also includes likes of Leinster / Munster leagues etc.

Not in any way connected but I met a former FAi ref at business thing last month. He was telling me they have an annual day out for every cup final. Around 20 -30 of them. Dinner in local hotel in d4 then they make a presentation to the cup final officials pre match. Nice touch and more so the fai incentive for free tickets to youth clubs is what you need to boost crowds, having as many non associated cup final teams involved. I always bump into a host of former LOI players on cup final match day. Beggars Bush is a popular spot.

Making the cup final a big day out and not just for the two participating clubs is the way forward.

With the Cork City V Bohs replay on the box on Monday night, it will be interesting to see the form of the winners less than 4 weeks ahead of the Aviva final.

For the sake of the footballing quality of the final, I am hoping for a Bohs win, but I expect Cork are more likely to get through

I see Ticketmaster are selling Premium tickets for areas 308, 309. I don't think they did this before.

I've bought tickets for the Premium level for the last three years as I decide to treat myself. Last year I waited for the block to become available and ended up taking 308. Its level with the goal-line and not far from Cork fans. While €30 was steep, it did mean I was right on halfway in previous years, with little queuing for food or toilets. The big downside is that - in order to save money on stewarding - they won't open the upper level until well after the ladies final is over. You end up being shoved into the lower level wherever it suits them. There was also no announcement you could now go up, you just found out by checking if they would let you on the lift.

The big question is where we will be. I think we will end up where we were before as Bohs will generate a large Dublin interest and Cork will be coming from the south.

Block 104 is also available on TM. Decent seats but it’s a gamble as to what end we get

It makes no difference what block is on the ticket for premium level. All fai season ticket holders can get a premium level ticket if they want to and they're not allocated a block or a seat number.

That may well be but if you buy tickets they come with block, row, and seat no.

I got premium last year and we could sit anywhere. It's not gonna sell out.

Cork have taken a two goal lead after 47 hoofs into the box resulted in two lucky breaks on a windy night in Turners Cross.

When you see a goal like Morris’ I do wonder why we don’t try shots from distance a *little* more often. Very few long range screamers in our arsenal

I love the way the commentators use the euphemism ‘ Cork going direct’ for what they really mean..hoofing the ball into the box time after bloody time

My guess at this point would be that it’ll be the lowest attendance of the four. Have to say I’m not enthusiastic about another game against them at all.

Not looking forward to trying to break down Cork for the 4th year in a row. In saying that this is probably the poorest Cork have been since the rivalry began and if we got an early goal we should be ok. Not one for the neutrals or football purists though. Don't think I could stomach losing to them again by some jammy goal. With regards ticketing we should get the other end as we bring twice as many as Cork.
