Great 3 points after going one down. Cork drawing with Rovers also a bonus

Daylight lads, daylight. As of right now it's out of Cork's hands.

Massive win. Digging out 3 points when not at our best = another mark of title form.

10 on the bounce now - what a team. 21 for Hoban - what a striker.

Concerning injuries for Duffy & Hoare with Europe just days away but great strength in depth to bring on the likes of Adorjan & Gannon. McEleney not even in the squad. We're in good shape lads! :)

With Cork dropping points to Rovers and now facing two games with Legia before the league resumes, I wonder how pivotal a night this could be in the season. Mon the town!

Pats played well tonight and we let them, some sloppy passing in first half, improved in second. Some good last ditch defending and saves from Rogers but we were under pressure. Some bizarre performances great in patches but no consistency. Same in first game away to Pats, both games after the high of Cork at home. Also very hard to get atmosphere going at Richmond. Always feels a bit like a friendly. Still I will enjoy the week looking at the league table. Come on de Sweden

Four points ahead now, and remember we were four points behind after two games while the squad recovered from the plague.

Seriously got out of jail tonight. Tough game against a gallant pats team. Poor goal to give away but great battle in the second half. Rogers made a terrific save at the end from brennan. Good crowd up from the town. Absolutely terrible pats crowd!

MOTM for me was Chris Shields, closely followed by Gary Rogers

Two issues of concern . Is Duffy injured and for the 3rd league game in a row we have given away sloppy goals. Don't want to kno k the lads, but the defence is hardly under too much pressure and they seem to switch off. This could be disastrous if n Europe.

Lots of players brilliant in patches, Shields brilliant yet also sloppy in first half, Massey some great clearances yet also have the ball away, Duffy some great running in second half annonymous in first. Overall MOTM either Gartland or Rodgers

Thought Pats were the better side first half & deserved to be in front, we were second to a lot of the ball & the manner of the goal conceded will have had Stephen Kenny livid.

The game of two halves it certainly was, Duffy & Benson together with Shields got the grip of midfield from which our first two goals came from. Delighted for Shields to get on the scoresheet, he gives 100% each outing. Hoban just gets better & better, that's 21 goals, I think, what a return & much more to come from him. Fantastic save from Rogers near the end from Brennan's hit, he saved the day no doubt. Yet again, brilliant away support in Richmond Park.

Great win & a gap has opened at the top. You wonder is the two horse race turning into a solo run...

Let's the games begin, roll on Tallinn....

Hopefully this sort of sentiment does not take root among supporters and possibly spread to the players

While we are rightly favourities a 4 point gap is fairly modest with 11 games to go, particularly when we have to go to Turners Cross in September. European and domestic cup progress can also easily throw a spanner in the works with fixture congestion possibly affecting fitness, form, injuries and suspensions

Recognise too that we had a bit of luck last night and last week.

One game at a time, please
