Rather play them in a final than lose to them or anyone else in the semi. Cup final is a great day out. Yes 4 in a row is repetitive and they will bore u to death but we owe them one.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

Given that choice, there is hardly anyone who would prefer that - who would opt for losing in the semi-final in preference to having a chance to win a final?

The cup final is a cracking day out. In my opinion it would a better occasion to meet and beat Derry in the final than Cork

That's the opinion in Cork as well. Cork City v Derry City Cup final.

There cant be too many leagues around where the same two and the top 2 have met in the final 4 years running.

I'd definitley prefer the winners of Derry / Bohs (if we make the final) with a slight leaning towards the latter, they are doing good things around Dalymount with connecting with fans and the community. In saying that they habe a tough away game in Derry first. If Derry make it, they'd probably take a big crowd also.

Certainly not as many as the previous week, I'd say around 150 hardy souls but worth the long trip & what a difference a week makes...

Mountney played a stormer & was a thorn in Limerick's side the whole night. Delighted for him that he scored & it's great he's getting back to his old self. Murray, another to start & he controlled a lot of what Dundalk were doing. Hoban doing what he does best, scoring goals, that's 28, I think, phenomenal & more goals to come from him no doubt. Have also to mention Rodgers, when called upon he took off 3 top draw saves but generally any attacking from Limerick was repelled by a resolute Dundalk defence.

Now a semi final to look forward too & whoever we get we will have to beat them if we are going to win the cup, so it shouldn't matter who we get, you have to beat what's put your way....

Finally, IMHO, Mountney to start in Cork is a must, with Shields back in & Mc Eleney to come in from the bench during the proceedings.
