Hard to know with Gannon , certainly looked not interested and was poor since the restart , his form must have continued liked this under Flippo, it must be bad when Hoare is picked ahead of him!! He could have the deal already done with Rovers!!!!

With so many players out of contract and nothing being announced, rumour will fill the void. Filippo said contracts are not up to him and he wants
To concentrate on the job.
With absolutely no news on any contract negotiations it seems to me that there is a deliberate plan to run down contracts. Is there going to be a new manager next season who wants
His own players? Are we going to have an influx of foreign players?
There seems to be deliberate silence around contracts from the club, which is worrying and will only lead to more rumours and bad PR for the club.
Can the journalists that cover the club not ask questions about this?

Was just reading Niall’s last post on another thread about players we need to keep and let go, of the top of my head these are who I’d be thinking of letting go am sure everyone will have their own opinion.... Rodgers( we need quality and somebody commanding only keeper in the league would be Bryan Murphy after that it’s outside the league),Cleary ( started of well but to inconsistent and very rash) Massey( great servant but think end is near, not saying that Leahy is an ideal replacement) Murrary ( injury prone) , probably Flores ( few wonder goals but doesn’t stamp his authority on a game) , keep McEleney but on reduced terms, McMillan ( no where near the player he was) not sure on Oduwa or Gatt, think they are decent but haven’t seen enough of them. And looking at Gannon it’s looks like he wants out. Players from within the league would be Bryan Murphy and Twardek.

In relation to Gannon he is notoriously a slow starter and this is a very mixed up season the lockdown makes this feel as if we are starting again and it usually took him 6 7 games to get going. I like odouwa he creates a bit of energy when he comes on. How many players are actually still in contract at the end of the season?paul1 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 12, 2020 9:43 am Was just reading Niall’s last post on another thread about players we need to keep and let go, of the top of my head these are who I’d be thinking of letting go am sure everyone will have their own opinion.... Def under contract into 2021
McEleney
Shields
Leahy
Patching
Colovic
Hoban
Sloggett
Def out of contract
Gannon
Duffy
Rogers
Not sure on the rest but there are at least 6 or 7 possibly more.
Who is talking to these players if its not the new manager, although I hear Bill is flying over next week.
The one think I will say is, they all cant go to Rovers, maybe Gannon will, but who else is going to pay them even close to the current wages they are on and have been used to for a good few years?
Bohs are prudent run, Derry need an investor every year to fund a better budget, Pats are modest payers, not many options left, Also NI clubs mostly part time but Glentoran have do have investors.
