Judging on the match the other night v Derry, Sloggett was superb so he is more than ready.

It sounds like there is one more to come in from overseas
Dundalk manager Vinny Perth hasn’t ruled out one final dip into the transfer market before Saturday’s transfer deadline.

However, the 43-year-old says he will only make a move for the player if they can go straight into the first-team, insisting he is happy with his squad for the year ahead.

It is understood that the Lilywhites would like to add another attacking option to their ranks and are scouring European markets for a suitable candidate.

The transfer window will close on the 22 February 2020 for domestic transfers and on 2 March 2020 for foreign transfers. Out of work professionals (players without a club at the time the window closed) may join one at any time, either during or in between transfer windows

To be fair, I heard a bit on the radio over the weekend as to why he didnt go out on loan in January and it mentioned being at the club for 2 continuous years to he eligible to play in the CL.

The UEFA red tape issue around 'homegrown' status was reported in this RTE piece from 1 February
For Dubliner Parrott to be considered 'homegrown' on Tottenham's B squad list he has to have completed two full years at the club. The Republic of Ireland international signed for Tottenham from Belvedere on his 16th birthday, 4 February 2018 - meaning he missed the transfer deadline by four days.

The Daily Telegraph report that Parrott would have had to complete another full 24-month spell at the club on his return from any loan to be considered homegrown in UEFA's eyes.

Can you imagine what the reaction would have been had Parrot signed??? Jose first calling Vinny and then loaning him one of Irelands hottest prospects.......would have been fun and great exposure for DFC and LOI

Would be stunned if Parrot to Dundalk on-loan was ever going to happen ... good publicity for the club but I doubt there was even a conversation took place.

Niall Newberry

Update on Josh Gatt, who had been on trial with Dundalk, is that he is currently back in America and exploring his options. Doesn’t necessarily suggest that he will be moving to the League of Ireland any time soon.

Rumours yesterday evening of Dundalk ready to sign ex Tottenham winger Nathan Oduwa

Apparently trained with the lads one day last week.

Anyone know anything about him?
