10 of last nights starting 11 signed for next season, have we ever been in a more stable/settled position?

Or maybe his agent used the "D" word as a bargaining chip? It seems to be the done thing now, start a rumour that SK is interested. Of course it needs to be believable!

To create a 'bidding war'?

With absolutely no disrespect intended to Bohs, if Dundalk were intent on signing an out-of-contract player it is highly unlikely that Bohs would be either able or willing to out-bid the offer.

It may well be that SK will review any interest in Leahy next year if he has developed further. In the interim, I expect Dane Massey and Dean Jarvis to tussle with each other for the regular left back spot

Focus. I'm implying there was never any interest from Dundalk. It only existed in his agents wallet.

Apologies, my apparent lack of focus could be more evidence than I am descending along a spectrum.

In a rare moment of lucidity, I was inferring that Bohs would hardly be fooled by the fiendish tactics of the agent -

Leahy's Agent "Dundalk have offered Daragh €1,000 a week, plus a car to sign a 3 year deal"
Bohs' Manager "Will he take €250 along with a leap ticket and a few butter vouchers from us?"
Leahy's Agent " Ok you sweet talker, he'll sign a 1 year deal so"

Rovers on the verge of signing McEneff according to LOI Transfers on Twitter. Although the same account did say we were going to sign the left back from Bohs who has just put pen to paper with them .

Anything is possible, but I suspect that the Derry colony at Oriel would be attractive to McEneff along with the Champions League experience and the offer of a kitchen sink or truck load of money at Dundalk

Talent spotting in PFAI Team of The year?

Dean Delany - Shelbourne
----------------
Daniel O'Reilly - Longford
Conor Kane - Drogheda
Liam Scales - UCD
Derek Prendergast - Shelbourne
---------------------
Sean Brennan - Drogheda
Gary O'Neill - UCD
Daire O'Connor - UCD
------------------
David O'Sullivan - Shelbourne
Georgie Kelly - UCD / Dundalk
Dylan McGlade - Longford

Not much to get the pulses raising there?

Conor Kane is rated, well by Drogheda fans anyway. If we needed a young left back quickly and whatever goes for cheaply with Dundalk FC these days.

On other fora Rovers fans are claiming to already have 3 of the top left backs in the league so signing Massey would be an overindulgence..Cork did sign about 20 right backs last season so ye just never know!

2018 (17) Georgie Poynton
2018 (18) Robbie Benson

Clearly he believes in his own ability and not afraid to fight for his place with Gartland and Hoare.

I suspect he could become a Lilywhite legend centre half

Great bit of business, already good and will only get better. Not writing off Garts but can see Cleary and Hoare being a long term rock partnership.

His goal tonight masked a poor performance. Delighted he's signed, great potential but Garts and Hoare well ahead at the moment for me

I should add that most of them were poor tonight
