Mural

Postby GSBellew » Sun Sep 09, 2018 1:50 am

The threads on the old mural on Francis Street are ancient, so thought I'd start a new one.

Is there any interest in a new one?

I've permission of the owners of a long term lease on a premises just off park street in a pretty prime location to have it painted up with a Dundalk FC theme, once it's not pointless graffiti.

Any idea how to go about it ?

Men's Sheds in Dundalk had something going on around street art a while ago. Its a project that could suit them to a tee

This is the blurb attached to a 27 minutes documentary video on Men's Sheds, which includes some of the Street Art project they were involved in (from 5:50 mins on the link below)

An Táin Arts Centre presents
What of it? - a documentary on Dundalk Men's Sheds.
A film about older men taking to the street, telling stories from their past and creating new ones through graffiti, singing, shouting, social movement, declarations by word and deed.
Anti-stereotypical behaviour from men with real opinions. These are tales from Dundalk, a town like any other in Ireland. But different.
In association with Age and Opportunity’s Bealtaine Festival, celebrating the arts and creativity as we age.

Men's Shed are contactable on 042-9327652 & [email protected] and on facebook
