Bohemians V Dundalk | Fri 26 Oct | 7:45pm | Dalymount Pk

Postby Ezeikial » Sun Oct 21, 2018 9:10 pm

Roll on up for the last league game of the seaosn, with a number of targets still to be achieved - including new records for individual goals, team goals, points in a season and maybe even a clean sheet new record. Are there any other records pending?

It has the potential to be a decent football match, with Bohs looking to end the season on a high after a recent decent run. Some cup final places may still be up for graps at Left Back, central midfield and right wing.

It will be interesting to see if SK plays his first choice eleven or will give some opportunity to enhance match fitness to those who could come in from the bench in the cup final.

Let's hope it is more than a swansong appearance in the jersey for Stevie. Been an absolute leg3nd for us. Who will ever forget the goal in the 2014 title decider v cork. I hope that when it is his last game for the club, that he gets a role in the backroom staff. His knowledge and drive would be a fantastic addition.

Hoban off injured... combination of anger and fear here. If he misses the cup final because of an injury in the most nothing game of the year?...

Good not to lose. Game itself didn't matter, obviously, but I remain amazed at how many glorious chances we don't take considering how many goals we do score. Hoban, McEleney and Duffy all missed chances that looked easier to score. Anyway all about Hoban's fitness now.

He seemed to roll his ankle in the play leading up to Cleary's goal. Hard to see with skorlive, but limped off with physio.

Reported to have left on crutches with strapping on his ankle. Either that's very precautionary or he's out.

Connolly up front for the Cup Final?

Reports from outside the away dressing room that he's on crutches but will be OK for the final.

Hoban's fitness is really all that matters, but the performance was awful

Perhaps only Gary Rogers emerges with any credit. The best of the rest were no more than adequate, while there was some really poor performances. Chris Shields was a huge loss tonight and Skips modest fitness levels left us very exposed

Even though we have a great squad when we alter from the normal starting XI we tend to not be at our best.
Cleary for Hoare, Hoare for Gannon, O'Donnell for Shields, McEleney for Benson, McGrath for McEleney, Connolly for McGrath. Perhaps too many changes with players out of position. We still could have won. Very good travelling support.

Fingers crossed Hoban makes it. And with George Kelly cup tied, Hoban was the one player we didn't want injured. I'd suggest Murray is the next option, definately a totally different player than Hoban and more the second striker, but we are low in other options.

Georgie played and scored in a previous round for us against Limerick IIRC?
