Re: 2019 Season - Preview, Fixtures & Attendances
Hope they do something about the fixtures after this season that doesn’t negatively impact on us, because this is the last year the other clubs are going to tolerate having their games moved around so we can have a better shot at earning more money from Europe.

Re: 2019 Season - Preview, Fixtures & Attendances
The total income to UEFA for both competitions is €3.25 bn. 4% of that is allocated to clubs who have NOT qualified for Europe. That €130m spread across 50 odd leagues. If that was distributed to LOI clubs the way it is in other countries there wouldn't be such a commotion.El Paso wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 8:03 pm Hope they do something about the fixtures after this season that doesn’t negatively impact on us, because this is the last year the other clubs are going to tolerate having their games moved around so we can have a better shot at earning more money from Europe.

Not so obvious from the body of the article that he actually said that, but mentions that he read a tweet suggesting it.Ezeikial wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 10:09 am Headline says John Gill saying clubs should be compensated for euro postponements

I dunno Vinny. That summer training was......a month ago now? You lose acclimatisation as fast as you gain it. 3 to 4 days. I feel this is deja vu in preparation for Larnaca last year. Perhaps someone could trawl through my posts?Ezeikial wrote:Vinny Perth talks about temperatures, the Spanish training camp preparations and the again addresses the tedious issue of his managerial experience

Presumably this fixture will happen whether we play Tues in Cyprus or Weds in Slovakia

Re: 2019 Season - Preview, Fixtures & Attendances
The three Derry lads started the Riga match and none finished the Qarabag game. Jarvis hasn’t done anything wrong but Duffy and McEleney’s poor form is really noticeable now. Maybe both need a spell out of the side?

Re: 2019 Season - Preview, Fixtures & Attendances
Nothing specifically new, just cleaning up the European fixtures. I have removed the "at risk" flag from the Cobh (confirmed) and Finn Harps(likely now) games. Monday's EL QR4 draw will potentially impact the timing of a (hopeful) FAI Cup R2 tie and the UCD(A) league game on 30 Aug, that's if we look like getting past Bratislava.
If we progress in both competitions, the EA Sports Cup SF becomes a major issue as it needs to be settled by 2/3 Sept latest, so that arrangements can be made for the final.
To be rearranged.
Dundalk v UCD (14 June)
Dundalk v Cork City (19 July) 📲
Sligo Rovers v Dundalk (03 Aug) 📲
Dundalk v Bohemians EA Sports Cup SF (05 Aug)
Scheduled matches/dates
Wed 07 Aug Slovan Bratislava v Dundalk ELQ3 Leg 1
Sat 10 Aug Cobh Ramblers v Dundalk FAI Cup R1 ko 19.00
Tue 13 Aug Dundalk v Slovan Bratislava EL Q3 Leg 2 Tallaght
Fri 16 Aug Dundalk v Finn Harps 📲
Fri 23 Aug FAI Cup R2
Fri 30 Aug UCD v Dundalk
Fri 06 Sep FAI Cup QF
Fri 13 Sep Dundalk v Shamrock Rovers
Sat 14 Sep EA Sports Cup Final
Fri 20 Sep Waterford v Dundalk
W/E 27/29 Sep FAI Cup Semi-Finals
Fri 04 Oct Dundalk v Derry City
Fri 11 Oct Bohemians v Dundalk
Fri 18 Oct Cork City v Dundalk
Fri 25 Oct Dundalk v St Patrick's Ath
■Likely/Possibly to be refixed.

Re: 2019 Season - Preview, Fixtures & Attendances
Things will start to become a bit clearer now, and there is only one more game which could be postponed, that's Rovers at home on 13 Sep. That will depend on the result against Bohs this Monday.
To be rearranged.

Beat Bohs on Monday and Rovers home Sep 13 has to be rearranged. Let's rearrange it for early October and win the league against them!

Re: 2019 Season - Preview, Fixtures & Attendances
Cup match v Derry is next Friday 23rd. UCD game is refixed for Monday 26th (huge crowd at that I’d say!) and we’re away to UCD following Friday.
Great chance to get 9 more points on the board in a short space of time and go 10 clear with 8 to play.
