It occurred to me today that the home shirt is sort of an homage to the 1981-82 shirt that we won the League in. If I remember correctly it as black across the front shoulders and red across the chest with the the National Aluminium logo underneath. We would have worn it at the home Spurs match, for which there are very few photos, bizarrely.

Could some of our older listeners confirm this? At least if it calls back to such glory years (by complete accident) I won't hate it as much!

Nice to see Umbro being very creative, must have taken months to design and get right. Am sure it will sell like mad.

Don't see the big deal here to be honest.

It's a plain pre match warm up shirt, nothing more, nothing less. All brands and clubs have them, not as if it's the playing shirt.

Umbro are selling the exact same shirt, without the crest for a tenner!! That's an expensive crest!!

Indeed.

As a shirt nerd, and someone who thinks we’ve the best colour combo in the league, as well as a 350 year old crest, I always feel like we’re missing a trick on the international hipster market.

Rogers’s shirt is nicer than the away shirt!
