Massive financial hit? Based on what?
Maybe the consortium feel they can increase the revenue from sponsorship and this is a natural step.

That’s more like it 1903. No panic. Great to see Benson signing.

Heard a rumour months ago bout a new sponsor for this season, if true will only be a boost

Presumably this has not come as a surprise to the club hierarchy and that a new sponsor is about to be announced.

Anything other than that would reflect badly on Mal Brannigan.

I heard that the only stumbling block was Toolfix insisting on John Gill getting the managers job

Disappointing to see the partnership ending with Fyffes, but it was an excellent arrangement for both parties. They gave great support for 7 years but nothing lasts forever, I'm not sure on the actual figures but we shouldnt be stuck for a replacement.

This wont effect the like of polos and non jersey tops, as none of that had a sponsor but it will of course effect jersey sales and thats not good timing pre xmas.

To be honest how many people wanted one year old shirts that didn’t already have them? Can't say I had suddenly decided after 12 months "you know what, I *do* like tyre tracks on a white shirt".

The other way of looking at it is people might realise those are *the* double shirts and want one for posterity before they're gone.

So I doubt it matters too much either way. Might sell more now before the new season if anything, depending on how it looks with a new sponsor. Those hoodies will sell well.

Anyone who bought a jersey for christmas should be given a voucher for a new 2019 jersey. What feckin use is a 2018 jersey which was being sold at full price just last week, and which they're now trying to sell off for a "bargain" 40 quid!!

They are giving a voucher - €15 to spend on anything as long as the tag is still on it.

Yeh, a 15e voucher is a pretty shitty replacement for a 60e jersey
