Wasn’t that role advertised a month or two ago?

Rice now, too. At least we don't have to worry about the wage bill expanding.

He has been replaced by David Murphy , who has worked at Reading and Colchester apparently

Now, when I hear of people that have gone through so many jobs, you have to ask why? If he was so good why did he move on so much? Looking at it from the outside, its probably no surprise after what happened with Fyffes. The buck stops with the CEO.
I've been through enough acquisitions - from both sides - to know that, in a lot of cases, the likes of Mal Brannigan have a title, but no real power. Over something as major as main sponsor I would be fairly sure he was following instructions.
The optics certainly make it appear that the sponsorship issue is the main cause for his departure.

If he was actually moved on, following instructions is hardly ever a valid reason or scenario; or even to facilitate someone to "pursue other opportunities"
Wouldnt that be almost a slam dunk for an unfair dismissal case!?

Seems like Mal is popular with a certain brand of North American sports investor.

Maybe the optics about being pushed out were incorrect.

Its certainly an extremely short time gap between his exit from Dundalk to his arrival in Dundaee
