I can't recall when a Dundalk player has not in the monthly nominations, but the February award will come from this shortlist announced today
James Talbot (Bohemians),
Dinny Corcoran (Bohemians),
Ciaron Harkin (Derry City),
Sam Todd (Finn Harps),
Jamie Lennon (St Patrick’s Athletic),
Bastien Hery (Waterford)

Bohs have had an impressive start obviously, but only one team with a 100% record after 3 matches speaks volumes. Can’t say anyone has looked good from available highlights and that’s reflected in that list. In fact we’re the ones who seem to have dominated our games the most.

I’m not sure we had one in the first nominations of 2018, either way not sure any deserved to be for the first one this year ?

Congrats to Dinny Corcoran on his Player of the Month award (and for his Countdown appearance!)

I hope normal service is resumed for March with our players featuring strongly in the nominations

Congrats to Christ Shields on the 2018 LOI season award. What a superb improvement year on year he has made. Who could imagined what he would achieve after the modest season he and worse the club had in 2013.

10/10 and well done sir.

Congrats indeed to Chris. The hard work is paying off. He went from zero to hero between Sean McCaffery and Stephen Kenny.

Enjoyed the fact that the Player of the Year award with all three nominations coming from Dundalk came right after a bit of Shamrock Rovers puffery. Don't mean to go all body language on it but thought Stephen Kenny could have looked at least a little pleased for Shieldsy as he walked past.

All very low key in the media so far, but Chris Shields has come on a remarkable journey in the seven years he has been at Oriel Park

Talbot will get it because of the few goals conceded.

Duffy's a strange one, not one of his best month's for the club. Probably about our 8th best player in April! The Bohs love-in continues, though in fairness Mandriou looks a class act and Talbot has impressed.

Michael Duffy comes in third place for the SWAI Player of the Month for April

Congratulations to Bohs goalkeeper James Talbot, who deservedly wins the award after keeping 6 clean sheets and conceding only 1 goal (peno from Patrick Hoban) in the month. Daniel Mandroiu in second place
