They weren't going to be wearing purple in the final (arrangement with Fyffes) but had intended wearing it up to this point. So my guess is that either they or the officials didn't want block red and block purple shirts on the pitch. Rogers wore his third kit.

As for McEleney this is also only a guess but maybe they decided Hoban as captain wasn't working and wanted to try something new. He still cuts a very frustrated figure on the pitch. Hasn't scored in 8 matches now.

Looked like he was having a moan coming off the pitch as well when subbed

Job done on a desperate pitch. Hoban was brutal.
Vinnys subs made the difference. Again. Defensively very solid. Again.
Well done to sligo on building a very tidy ground.

Bradley was interviewed after their semi and said they watched Monday's match back and thought they were great! They were impotent. We would have cruised it if we didn't toss the ball in for them. Hope they approach the final exactly the way they did last Monday.

How Murray is behind Benson in the pecking order is beyond me. He was brutal today and has done feck all since he came back apart from his goal vs Rovers. Murray does so much more. Gets us on the front foot.

Murray hasn't been able to stay fit to be fair. But there's a real player there if we could just get him 100% right. Much more consistent than Duffy with a dead ball delivery too.

Far from easy encounter, but great credit is due to all involved for digging out the win

Result all that matters at this stage..but some of the performances are to be questioned, massey was terrible and mcgrath needs some end product.

With the amount of games these guys are playing there is always the risk of some flat performances through simple fatigue.

It does seem bizarre that despite the amazing run of results, being unbeaten domestically for over 5 months, that players who have done so well in most of these games should get flack over occasional moderate performances

One of the worst pitches Dundalk played on this season. Very greasy and bobbly and made it really difficult for the team trying to play football.

Fair play to the players for sticking at playing ball and they eventually got their just reward.

Fair point by Ezeikial about players getting flack, they have been excellent this season, just we have come to expect more. Regarding McGrath, the point about his end product may be valid.

Mcgrath plays number 10 ..his stats regarding goals and assist's is so poor. But gets away with it because he looks good on the eye . Massey was really poor tonight looked his age. Jarvis better player. Not trying to be negative for the sake of it , treble is on..what a team, greatful.
