Might be miles off base, but the Towell rumour seems like one of the dumbest to grow legs in a long time. It’s based on absolutely nothing.

If Towell could replicate his form for his last season here he'd have a great chance an Ireland cap like Byrne did. Maybe that would be a bit of motivation from him.
Can't see it happening though we wouldnt get close to Salford wages

Are Salford's wages the norm for league 2 or over inflated?

I would certainly hope JM would have a better / younger idea than RT. We cannot always dream of the past, at some point the fans have to follow the club forward. They could make a balls of it, however they could also take us to another level. If they dont try they we will never know.

Towell is 29.... No transfer is ever a sure thing.. hut there aren't many players out there with his talent (if he is available).Pepsi wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 4:22 pmI would certainly hope JM would have a better / younger idea than RT. Center mid is hole in our squad. Richie fills it(, also fills a byrne-size hole for Rovers). Would bring a huge buzz for everyone... if he is available we should throw everything at him (big if).

Couldn't agree more. It would be a massive lift to the club and most of us would be very confident of winning the leaguesuperman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 4:27 pmTowell is 29.... Massively overinflated, that's why Towell dropped down two leagues.niall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 4:09 pmAre Salford's wages the norm for league 2 or over inflated?

Re: 2021 Rumours | Transfers | Contract Renewals
Will be interesting to try and guess the first team on the opening day........will also be interesting to see if FG changes his style of play now that he has his "own signings". Who would have ever dreamed of Dundalk FC signing 2 current full international players in one window??

In regards to towells wages, I'd like to think dundalk wouldn't be far off been able to match what Salford are currently giving him.

Aberdeen couldnt come close a few years ago for one of their strikers.Carrick_Road wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:29 pmIn regards to towells wages, I'd like to think dundalk wouldn't be far off been able to match what Salford are currently giving him.

Paying the same as Towell receives there would take up over 30% of the full DFC budget.

Are you in the real world? There is no way our budget last season was only 12k a week.tip on wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 10:58 pmAberdeen couldnt come close a few years ago for one of their strikers.Carrick_Road wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:29 pmIn regards to towells wages, I'd like to think dundalk wouldn't be far off been able to match what Salford are currently giving him.
