Re: Europa League opposition watch
Rapid Vienna warmed up for Dundalk win a 3-1 home win over Altach.... that's 16 points out of 18 so far. They were beaten 1-0 in Molde last week though of course.
Molde followed up their win over Rapid with a 3-1 away win, their 4th straight win the league, to stay second.
Arsenal rested most of the team that beat Dundalk 3-0 in a 1-0 win at Man United. ;-)

Thankfully arsenal have turned it around against Molde. As long as they collect maximum points, we can give Vienna a good rattle in the Aviva. If we get 3 points there, ya never know!

Six points v Molde and Rapid could be enough for second ;)

Re: Europa League opposition watch
Considering molde are playing rapid in the last match while we have arsenal I would highly doubt it.. Especially with our - 5 goal difference.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

It's extremely unlikely, hence the smiley face, but it's possible. Realistically we'd probably need to beat Arsenal too. Even more realistically I'd settle for 2-3 points.

Rapid drew with RB Salzburg the weekend after the 4-3 win over Dundalk, but lost 4-3 at lower midtable Ried on Sunday.
Molde continue their excellent domestic form, with a 3-0 win at Staebeck to solidify second place in the table.
Arsenal continue to labour, lucky to draw 0-0 at Leeds.

Molde are ticking along nicely, won 3-1 last time out.
Arsenal are gone to shit, though!

Perhaps getting them in the last match might be a bonus???
Pity we didn't get Sheltic in our group. They were ripe for the picking under Lennon's tutelage.

One last time, for the craic.....
NK Celje (lost 2-1 at home to Molde in the second round of the CL, then lost 1-0 in Armenia in the EL), halfway through the league they are 7th of 10.
Inter Club the league got chopped by Covid, they've only really started. Played 5, won 2, drew 1, lost 2. Remarkably there are 3 points seperate first and last in the league after 4(ish) games.
Sheriff Played 20 in the league, won 18 drew 1 lost 1. Let's not underestimate the quality of that win in Moldova.
KI finished 3rd in the league, 7 behind the champions, and will join us in the UEFA Conference thingy next season
Molde Great run of form to finish comfortably second in the Norway league, a long way behind champions Bodo Glimt. PLay Geran side Hoffenheim in the Last 32 of the EL. Will join us in the Euro Conference next season
Arsenal finally getting their Arsenal in gear with 3 straight win the Premier League to move up to 11th, 6 points of the CL places. EL Last 16 tie v Benfica to come.
Rapid going nicely in the league.... sitting fourth but 1 point off the top
