This could well be our most important competition this season as might be our only route to Europe.

A further reminder for everyone's diaries, the draw for the 1st round of the FAI Cup takes place on Tuesday 13th July at 18.30. It will be broadcast live during Game On on 2FM. Right in the middle of added time at the end of the first half in Oswestry.

Qualifying round is complete and full list of clubs in the 1st round draw is below. Numbers are usually allocated alphabetically so we should be #12. With no money to be made from gate receipts I expect that any non-league side drawn out first will try to have the game played at their own ground, which could cause a few shocks. Ties are down for completion on the weekend of 25th July, that's inbetween the 1st & 2nd Legs of ECL QR2. No replays, ETP on the day.

Athlone Town
Banger GGFC
Bohemians
Bray Wanderers
Cabinteely
Cobh Ramblers
Cork City
College Corinthians
Crumlin United
Derry City
Drogheda United
Dundalk
Fairview Rangers
Finn Harps
Galway United
Killester Donnycarney
Kilnamanagh
Liffey Wanderers
Longford Town
Malahide United
Maynooth University Town
St. Kevins Boys
St. Mochtas
St. Patrick's Athletic
Shamrock Rovers
Shelbourne
Sligo Rovers
Treaty United
UCD
Usher Celtic
Waterford

For those who missed the draw yesterday we will be away to Treaty United in the first round. The tie is due to played w/e 25th July. It will probably end up on the Sunday unless the 1st Leg against Levadia/St Joseph's is brought forward from Thursday 23rd.

No announcement from either Dundalk or Treaty United about next weeks cup tie. Nothing on the FAI website either about the 1st round fixtures, other than the draw.

I thought a fixture required 7 days notice?

Big shock of the round, Sligo beaten at home by Cork City, who wouldn't exactly be setting the 1st Division on fire. 8 Premier Division sides left, along with 4 from the 1st Division, and 4 non league sides. Draw is on Tuesday at 18.30 on 2FM during Game On. Obviously want to avoid Pat's, Bohs and Rovers in R2.

Finn Harps
Killester Donnycarney
Kilnamanagh

Fantastic draw, can't really ask for more than a non league team at this stage. Good to see one of Bohs or Rovers going out this round too. Could be a few very favourable draws in the next round also should we progress.

Quarterfinal lineup confirmed. At least one unfancied side will make the semifinal. Georgie Kelly's straight red means he will miss the quarterfinal. Probably an additional 2 league games (depending on the referees report).

Haven't heard anything about the draw, usually it's the following Tuesday on Game On.

Finn Harps away, the only all Premier match. Bohs and Pats get handy draws

Tough one but two handy ones before now.
