Finn Harps v Dundalk | League Series 29 | Fri 01 October 2021 ko 20.000

Slight trepidation, but almost a pleasure starting these threads now. Sloggett (probably) out, Patching back in. Team and bench almost picks itself until some the long term injured are back. I expect a fair few will travel, seeing that the support appears to be having a major positive affect on team performance.

Link below to purchase tickets for Friday night. I also see the club are considering running buses to the game. Contact Oriel before 5pm today if interested.

Bus cancelled. Wasn't enough supporters to make it viable.

Oh where are all the pissed up fools now there's no jolly up.

In fairness, 3 home matches in 6 days would have been a strain on the finances of most fans that are non ST holders. Added to the fact that between Bus, Match Ticket and food, there wouldnt be a lot of change out of €100

I would also imagine that - despite restrictions being lifted - there are still people who would have reservations about being on a bus with 50 other people for 6 hours.

Wouldn’t have thought the hash smokers in the Muja would have been worried about Covid

Looking at the league table now, its hard to accept that despite all the madness, a simple change of goalkeeper by Vinny when he first arrived would probably have us in fourth place now.

Its a monumental error. How was something so obvious ignored for so long. There were rumblings in preseason that the new goalkeeping coach was quite open about that fact that Abibi was not of the required standard.

There were people still claiming in June and July that ‘there’s a good keeper in there’ and praising Vinny for turning his form around just because he caught the ball a couple of times and we had a couple of clean sheets against Newtown. It’s almost as if Vinny promised Bill he would make all his duff signings into a good team while Filippo and Jim couldn’t. You could see Abibi’s defence didn’t trust him, you could see the way he sets himself on his heels is all wrong. I wonder how we’d have done against Vitesse if him and Sonni were out of the team.

Great to see Sloggett starting. I didn't think he was having a great game against Bohs but it was noticeable after he went off the workrate he was going though. Just shows what the average fan knows... He'll be a big loss of he goes to Derry.
