And yes I am aware that - at the time of setting up this thread - Livescore has the game listed as "Postponed". F¥£k knows.

All Friday's games appear to be postponed according to Flashscore.

I think this is some kind of auto reaction to World Cup and u21 Euro qualifiers being on over the weekend, and a raft of local players being in the u21 squad. Keith Long mentioned in an interview that they had a weekend off. Drogheda probably postponed as well as Odumosu is in the squad. Not sure how many from other clubs but we might well be the only game to survive, albeit with Jurkovskis and Nattestad missing.

Is our game not live on rte ? Its hardly going to be postponed as rte would surely have checked out all of this before?

We should be offering them an allocation. It will come back to haunt us going forward.

Might have been a bit premature with that comment but seen a couple of rovers fans on twitter saying they weren't getting any..maybe details haven't been announced yet.

Their web page shows a countdown clock for the game but when you click the ticket link it's a dead end. I would imagine clubs are using Covid limits as an excuse. In the club's defense we have been allowing away fans and are late joining the party.

There was a sizable number of Bohs fans in Oriel recently so it would be difficult for them to deny us an allocation on 15th. The Pat's and Drogs games are after restrictions are removed so I would hope we will be able to attend there as well.

It's been confirmed by Rovers that we are not being given an allocation.

Disappointing.

Hopefully after the 22nd we can all get back to our normal away trips and not having to worry about if we will be given tickets!

I think this is an unwise move which will cause dissent.

Attendances are still restricted.

Seems reasonable that for a high demand game the tickets go to home supporters who've had 18 months of no football.

No fans will be on away terrace. So why not give rovers their allocation? It's total bolloxology imho.. Rvs didnt give derry tickets. What has that got to do with us? Nothing. We allowed Bohs fans in and finn harps. So why not 400-500 rovers fans? As i have said before. I have never had an issue getting a ticket for tallaght. We usually get anything up to 800 tickets. Never a problem. Now because of this rovers will give us the bare minimum going forward. Can we blame them? No. But as per usual it is the genuine fans who lose out. Our bank balance must be fairly healthy if we can turn down €50k from lost gate receipts. I'd understand it, if we couldn't segregate the fans or if home demand outweighs supply, but neither of these are an issue. Plus it would make it sweeter when we beat them in front of their own support on Friday. 😉

We're not turning our noses up at rovers money. We are allowing Dundalk fans in instead. Attendance is limited. Away section being empty is a red herring

As much as I can understand what you are saying and would generally agree with you, I would certainly see an advantage in us having 300-500 more of our own fans in the ground. Can you imaging the crying if 200 Dundalk fans didnt get tickets, but Rovers had a full away end. Club are fucked if they do and fucked if they dont .... if more home fans gives you an advantage ... well and good. If we get a hammering, the people who make decisions may regret not allowing Rovers fans in, a lot of fans are on a knife edge and a hammering might result in verbal protests against the owners.

You've stood on the away terrace? Then you know that the view is horrendous. Those tickets WILL be allocated to Dundalk fans, but they will be elsewhere in the ground.
