And a pigs head obviously aimed at former players.

Bit of a mad first half. Loads of chances at both ends. Rovers should have had a pen, Towell should have been booked for a late one on Patching.

Great goal by Dundalk. Nice to see Hoare getting megged for it.

Had Abibi been in goals we'd be 2-1 down.

Gutsy win. Limited Rovers to very little in the second half.

Up to sixth and I'm getting dizzy. Peak 6th? Or can we go higher

Excellent performance tonight. Dropping Abibi has coincided with the change in performance.

6 with a game in hand .... 3 points are 3 point and all the sweeter against the so called power house.

Always great to beat JDs / FAIs love children. Suprised the ref didnt give them a peno for a flare being set off.

Absolutely and every fan called for it a dozen games ago. How the manager(s) couldnt see it is criminal

If we signed a quality keeper at the start of the season I wonder would it have masked a lot of the bullshit behind the scenes. It is certainly a major reason we are where we are.

Life's not a rehearsal. If my granny had wheels she'd be a bicycle. Instead of moaning about a past that we can never change, let's try to influence the future by supporting the team and management.

ALL of the current playing and backroom staff could potentially be gone by the end of the season, but Dundalk FC will still be the club we support. I want to remember 2021 (on the pitch) for what we achieved in the final 3 months, not the rest.

Well in fairness OF, the fans have given a resounding answer to that since crowds returned to Oriel. Unbelievable support.

I liked the banner tonight 'support the team not the regime' . And that is exactly what Dundalk fans are doing.

The fans in the ground did the club and the town proud tonight. A sh1t season, but they sang their hearts out all night. As long as they are there, Dundalk FC lives.

What a fantastic night! Fans absolutely incredible support yet again. Maybe opening up old wounds but a lot of stuff was said about our own fans during the summer on this forum and hopefully those posters now regret some of that.

Now to be fair Rovers should have a blatant penalty and if they'd taken the lead who knows. I don't have anything against Gannon and Hoare but it was funny watching them play bad. As for Towell, not justifying his wedge down there at all. The quality players we have are starting to deliver consistently now. Agree about the keeper but tbh having Sonni and Jurkovskis out of the side might be helping there too. Only one new new player on the pitch last couple of games and well you can see the difference.

Yes I doubted Cherry but fair play - superb , and nows hes full of confidence its great

saw/heard very little/any critisism of fans over the summer . saw criticism of tiny moinority of self appointed fans spokespeople / sh!t stirring posters & journalist bias against manager & toward their own director level ''sources'' ,, getting some feedback .
( facinating that Kiely came out againt the manager )
Fans always superb a huge asset , and they temper the online BS chamber.

Great night - man of the match ? = Real fans , atmosohere amazing - will enjoy replay on the player with a beer

The last 10 minutes of "all hands on deck!" is all the more enjoyable when you know the good guys are going to win. Less stressful on the old ticker.
