This should be interesting and will tell a lot about the mental strength of the squad. League is done and dusted and Pat's are comfortable in 2nd, so they can afford to rest players. Sligo seem to have faltered and, as I type, Derry are losing to Drogheda. 3 points here keeps us in the mix. If Bohs make it to 3rd, whoever is in 4th spot is guaranteed European Football next season.

Should there be changes to rest players, or just keep with the best 11?

I think Vinny should try to play a natural right sided player in midfield rather than shoehorn Murray or Patching in there again. Either Dan Kelly, dummigan or raivis

Pats might rest some players. but they will have players to come in who will want to impress before the Cup final. A big win for Drogheda, it keeps their outside European hopes alive and puts a bit of a gap from the bottom of the table.

Keep us in the mix? I hope you mean survival as oppoaed to us finishing 4th!! Not a hope we will finish 4th. The pressure is firmly on to win on Friday night v waterford.

Whilst some people have already given up on 4th place, I think that's a bit premature.

Yes it's unlikely, but if tonight's results go our way things will look very different. We could be 6 points clear of Waterford in the play-off spot going into Friday's game and only 3 points off Derry in 4th.

We then have home games against the bottom two (with Oriel rocking again) and a Louth Derby (let's not be afraid of a trip to Drogheda) before Derry come to Oriel on the final day.

The four teams above us all play each other on Friday night so there's points being dropped somewhere... and there's plenty more clashes amongst the top six between now and the final day (Sligo vs Bohs and us vs Derry to round off the season).

We need a response from the team tonight but we're top of the league form table, so how is it out of the question?

Yes we haven't won away from home in ages but our last two away wins were in Inchicore and Drogheda so why not again?

Don't win tonight and I'd agree 4th will be out the question, but ruling it out already seems a bit defeatist. Certainly too early to give up just yet.

Defeatist??no it's realism. Our last away league victory came on June 21st 4 months ago away to Drogheda. Unless pats play the entire reserve team then i cant see us winning. We are in a survival battle not a top 4.

Fair enough. Hyperbole about the Pat's reserves aside, you're probably right. But I did say *if* we win tonight 4th isn't out of the question.

If we don't win (and certainly if we lose) then you'll be proved right, but we won at Richmond before this season and there's a chance we can do it again.

The more sh1t comes out of Oriel today, the more that chance seems to be receding, but I'm not giving up hope just yet. No problem at all if you have - I suspect I'm in the minority anyhow.

With the medical team departing and Perth looking to get out it could be sinking ship. Galway are going well under Caulfield and it could end up being a play of,unless there is some resurgence.

A team in the first Division wouldn't be attractive for new owners.

who decides if a player is fit enough tonight

Do we have any medical staff now qualified and experienced enough ?

If you're a player with your livelyhood and income on the line ( including Duffy - Patching etc ) who is looking after you ?

How hard are you pushing your body , without a medical staff ???

This is urgent

Jaros a very decent keeper. Always looks comfortable.

Dummigan is a better centre back than Cleary, very composed, choice and range of passing is excellent.

As I type we concede. Midfield disappeared

Gonna give it the reverse commentators curse - I cant see any way that we can win this game.

It's gonna be a relegation play off isn't it?
