Would fans now be ready to commit to supporting the club financially to the tune for 50-60 euro per month for a seat on the board?

€60*12 months * 250 fans = €180,000 a year.

That’s a lot of money, 720 quid a year. Some could manage it but better not to price people out. 6 euro a week, 25 euro a month, 300 euro a year and aim for 600-800 fans maybe?

I assume that anyone buying shares would also be buying a season ticket, paying into cup games, travelling to away games, buying gear, maybe Patreon etc. When you add it all up, it's a lot to spend on football each year. At the end of the day, the supporter who gets voted on as a representative may, or may not, represent your point of view. Could be a member of SSA.

Any idea what other clubs' supporters pay? Sligo/Shams/Cork/Bohs?

It is a lot of money for most, and I dont think there will be an appetite for it. As good as Dundalk fans are, we have always wanted someone else to pay for it.

Co-op had 800 members with a one off payment of 100 I just read. Different times maybe.

Bohs is 360 a year I saw on Twitter.

If there is a new membership offer under the new owners, surely this will have to replace or subsume the current Patreon scheme?

Patrons are official Dundalk FC members already (that's what my badge says anyhow), so I don't see how a new membership/ownership scheme could work alongside that.

If fan (part-) ownership is on the table, it's important the new owners get this right from the off. Peak6 are gone, supporters have our club back and there's a lot of good will around on the back of this, so you'd hope they could attract more members than the current 165 Patrons (a good few left in protest at Bill's meddling, IIRC).

Pitching any membership offer correctly (at the right price & sold well) will be essential to maximise supporter take-up. Will be very interesting to see what the offering is here, as part of the wider outlook for the club in this new era.

So are we looking at a membership scheme that provides benefits - including seniority for match tickets - over and above Season Ticket holders? Maybe there would be a sash as well as a pin, so the rest of us can let the special people get served first at the bar.

Not sure what you're getting at there tbh, oldfogey. STHs pay money up front at the start of the season (invaluable to any football club) so they are always given priority on tickets, and rightly so. I see no reason why that wouldn't continue.

Beyond that, I've no idea what will be on the table. I just suggest that if the club are giving supporters a chance to buy a share in the club, or looking to raise extra revenue through a membership scheme in any way, then having one single membership seems like the way forward.

1 - Season Ticket Holder & Shareholder
2 - Season Ticket Holder
3 - Non Season Ticket Holder

Don't know where you might fit in if you bought shares and didn't buy a Season Ticket.

For me there are already enough tiers. If you buy shares it gives you a say in how the club is run via your elected board member. That's it.

A new membership/ownership programme might not have worked before but after everything that happened I think there would be a decent uptake.

Chalk and cheese really. Sligo, Cork and Bohs members are full owners of the club. Rovers are 50% owners. Members of these clubs have the ultimate say on what happens their clubs. Obviously nothing announced yet but rumours it will be a far smaller percentage for fans here.

unconvinced , unless done properly - to the point the administration could choke it because it's too small , fan ownership can create 'too many cooks' cork city type arrangement . Where committees smother decision making , or loud mouths without skills or vision get a disproportionate say.
We want a small amount of investors who care, will take sensible risk and want a level of prestige / with their reputation on the line etc . If there's a scheme I'll be one of the first to buy, but not my preference. I was a P6 defender for too long perhaps - but new owners are perfect for us and bring all those attributes.

I already pay into a membership scheme, it’s called that Patron scheme . I pay about €185 odd a year for it.
I’m open to correction but its high point of membership was around 250 and it’s dropped now due to Peak6 I presume.

No chance of us getting near even 300 members who would regularly contribute a regular sum to help finance the club

Rovers and Bohs members get a ST as part of the membership, so 500 a year suddenly doesn't look excessive
