What about the club making half-year season tickets available?

Other clubs have done this.

Sounds like a good idea. Or even tickets that are valid for 5 or 10 game blocks so the capital expenditure is less.

How about posting it here? viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6391 ;)

How about a plain and simple bucket collection? I'm sure we'd get a generous amount of money from that.

Maybe a Flag day some Friday

Thats an good idea,im sure we would sell plenty & it would improve the atmosphere inside oriel.
I think the idea of friendlies with the northies is an complete no go,people would have too be paid to watch that crap unless it was the linfield with the chance of trouble.
If we played say a friendly against lisburn, newry, dungannon etc we would be lucky to get 200 people at that match.

to be fair its not the worst idea. We probably owe a few favours and when northern teams are looking for pre season this july and we are mid season its like our games in the last few years in february. People want to travel to see their new team and any time the team play you will have the hardcore looking to come anyway. Bar proceeds etc. No doubt we will be looking for one or two to get mickey near match fitness come july. Saw him against swifts last month and he looked a bit heavy although he was very committed.

Just an idea,

Seeing at to date only 5 fans donated the €30 which was asked for to pay for the re-laying of the pitch, Why not have a fans match in Oriel in an Off-Peak time so that the club wont lose any revenue from the renting of the picth. Two teams of 13-14 players charged at €20-a head. That could make €520 in an hour or two. I know it's not much, but considering they have only got €150 towards the pitch so far it would be a helping hand for minimimum work.

As i said just an idea.

How about an end of year dvd featuring highlights of all the years games, maybe with player, manager etc interviews as an extra. Not an immediate moneymaker I know but maybe something to think about.
