Dundalk FC in the Community

Dundalk FC last week visited O’Fiaich College for their Intercultural Week to give a presentation on the ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ campaign to transition year and fifth-year students.

Dundalk FC made the short trip to the Castleblayney Road last week where new Assistant Manager Darius Kierans put the young De La Salle College team through their paces as they prepare for their upcoming North East League Final.

Dundalk FC first-team players Peter Cherrie, Greg Bolger and Paul Murphy were out and about in the community this week, with the trio involved in coaching kids, answering interesting questions from young fans and handing out free tickets for the Lilywhites’ game against UCD at Oriel Park this Friday night.

On Wednesday (25 May), Dundalk FC ended this term’s Schools Coaching Programme by holding a blitz day in JJB Soccer Dome, while the annual Dundalk FC Cup was also up for grabs.

Dean Arrowsmith has left his position as Community Coach at Dundalk FC, with the 22-year-old set to enjoy his second spell in the United States.

There was probably insufficient focus put on the fact that the club doubled the money raised for the Simon Community at the gate of the recent Warrenpoint friendly.

There has been plenty of good work within the community happening out of Oriel Park in recent years, but this gesture is really encouraging - we seem to be light years removed from bag packing!!

EASTER CAMP | WEEK 1

Week one of the Dundalk FC Easter Camp concluded on Thursday at the YDC, Oriel Park. 70 children aged between 6-14 years old particpated in the four day fun filled camp on their Easter holidays. First team players, Ronan Murray, Karolis Chvedukas, Daniel Cleary and Sam Byrne stopped by for a meet and greet at the certificate ceremony.
