Don’t take too much notice of northender guys. Those are his opinions of which he’s entitled to.
Daryl still has a chance at PNE and played very well in the 5-1 away win at Wycombe. I will say this though, PNE are bringing in some really good young players and this may hinder Daryl’s chances of progressing. I still believe he has a chance of being an important player at PNE.
Andy Boyle came on as a late sub. There is a rumour that Wigan would like to take Andy on loan and that would probably be a good move for him at this time to get more games under his belt.

It wouldn’t let me post a link of the Wycombe highlights, but if you get chance to see them you’ll see Horgan very prominent down the left hand side.

He was involved in crossing for Alan Browne's thunderbolt. His own goal was a deflected effort after a dinky run.

Playing against league two Wycombe was probably like playing against most LOI sides when he was playing here at the time.

Separately, Forrester was involved in two of Peterborough's goals against Villa. Getting back to his old self before injury/fallout with manager. MacAnthony categorically stated Forster was going nowhere! A few weeks later he's been in the team relentlessly. Guess we know who picks the team in London road.

I saw Horgan's goal on Sat, very nice finish and with his left after turning his man inside out, great to see he bounced back after the disappointment of a poor game v Cardiff then dropped for the next.

Worrying times for Ciaran Kilduff and others in NASL

Uncertainty in American leagues is bad news for Irish players
MLS is progressing well but speed of NASL’s apparent demise is something of a shock

Its unfortunate that former LoI players moved to the US thinking that there would be greater stability only to end up in a mess of changing seasons, not having enough sides to join a league, having CAS involved...almost straight out of a history of LoI book of woe!

I didn’t see this coming, nor did he by the sounds of things ! However to be fair, would anyone be confident depending on wages from a club like Bray after the year they had last year.

Saw Towell playing for Rotherham in the flesh at Oldham on Saturday. Did well but gave away the foul for Oldham's equaliser. They had him playing in a sort of Busquets role - deep lying midfielder trying to organise the players around him and spread the ball about. It worked pretty well but they had no cutting edge. He rarely got forward, just some late runs into the box, and had no sight of goal bar one wild shot.

Only one game I know, but I think McEleney is nuts going there. League 1 footballers look fitter than LOI, but the technique isn't good. So all you have is strong lads charging around bouncing into each other like Rugby League players. Even if his skill beats a man the next guy in will flatten him. He's going to spend his time in obscurity picking himself up off the ground. I just don't get it.

Double or triple the wages might have helped make his decision

Good luck to Shane. I was astounded by his fitness and ability to slot in over the past couple of seasons on those rare occasions when he got the call. Great pro. And an example to others when you consider, with all due respect, that he was one of the weaker links in a poor First Division side under Gannon.
