I work with 2 of his brothers. He had a young family at the time and his wife is from America. Hadn't the time to play with the job he took. Still follows dundalk results and has been over at a few of our matches the last few years

If only this Andy Boyle interview belonged in the Transfer thread

Andy got a goal today for Dundee in a 2-0 win. Horgan played 90 for hibs and Davey mac started for St Johnstone.
Local lad Jimmy dunne scored again to keep Hearts top.
Richie Towell scores for Rotherham - our most talented recent export must finally be in the running for international recognition...

I don't think Andy scored yesterday but that's two games on the trot for him now.

I know he wasn't a Dundalk player but Lawrence Vigeroux dropped for Swindon. Another start performer in the LOI struggles

Per Dundees official twitter and website he did
The Dark Blues finally took a deserved lead from another free kick just outside the box, on the right. Miller curled the ball to the far post where Andy BOYLE rose to score with a firm header after 37 minutes.

Richie in the 28-man provisional squad for the Nations Cup matches v Wales/Denmark

Sean Maguire, Shaun Williams and Daryl Horgan make it 4 ex-Dundalk players in the squad

Great to see Towell getting his break. He is having a decent spell with Rotherham at the minute. Good showing for Dundalk, Kenny & Co.

Delighted for RT - hopefully he makes the final squad.

Davy Mac on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline before HT at home to Celtic. Some contrast.

I was following that game earlier, it finished 6-0. He's a smart lad with a good education, and obviously the chance to play in Parkhead and Ibrox, but I wont change my mind on this was a crazy move for him.

SPL is a better standard than LOI, but SJ are not a step up on Dundalk.

They may have offered a step up on salary.

The chance to play full time professional abroad don't come around too often at 29 years old and he could have been left pondering 'what if' for a long time if he did not take the leap.

While most of us would have preferred if he had stayed at Oriel, it is understandably why he took the two and a half year contract with St Johnstone

I doubt Hoban would have broken the record if McMillan had stayed. We’ve also signed a really good prospect in Georgie, so it’s time to keep moving on and looking forward to the future

Towell and Horgan cut from the squad. Obviously they put O’Neill outside his comfort zone by offering creativity.

Michael O'Connor seems tobe doing well with Linfield. Fair play to him
