Former Dundalk player Michael O'Connor is set to declare for Northern Ireland. The Linfield striker qualifies through one of his grandparents. O'Connor has scored eight goals for the Belfast side this season, including the winner against Glentoran last month. #DundalkSport

How long is Dylan Connolly's contract? Should we cut our losses and let him move on?

The current Republic of Ireland manager played for N.Ireland and we have no problem with players from the North declaring for the Rep works both ways, Noel Kings current Republic u21s had only 3 Irish born players in it take from that what you will.

I bet the manager still fancies him - there’s a reason he got so many chances (way more than Murray got). Doubt he’s going anywhere.

I suppose it depends what your ambition is. If it's to win the league, the current squad will win it by ten points next year. If we want to qualify for Europa or champions league we're a few players off. We'd need to let five or six go and bring in three or four top class players. Another Duffy on right wing and a box to box midfielder with both a bit of bite and goals to them at the very least. If you were to drop Daryl Horgan and 2016 Ronan Finn into the team I'd fancy us to give most teams in Europa League qualifying rounds a shot.

Towell 'a little bit closer' to Ireland cap after being named in back-to-back provisional squads
Richie Towell made the last two provisional panels and has ambitions to make it all the way into Martin O’Neill’s final squad.

When you have a donkey like Cyrus Christie plonking around midfield like he's playing for Navan Cosmos B team, I'd be pretty pissed if I was Richie. But he seems to be a very focused and grounded chap and was like that when played for us. Always wanted to improve and get on the ball. That means nothing to Martin O'Neill and Keane. Pair of ginnets! Keep at it Richie. The chance will come
