Brilliant start for both.

But maybe this is the wrong thread as neither are "Ex-Dundalk players" - both are current Dundalk players out on loan and due to return to Oriel in July

Daryl Horgan started tonight in the Preston team against Cardiff. He was substituted after the hour mark but not due to him having a poor game. Most of the team were below par tonight and suffered a 2-0 defeat. Andy Boyle was again an unused sub. Hopefully, both of them will get some game time in the near future. Most fans still harbour some hope of making the play offs, but realistically we aren't good enough. We are a young team that's progressing and hopefully we can experiment a little and use Andy Boyle and Daryl Horgan a lot more between now and the end of the season.

Good Luck for the new season guys, and I will keep a close interest in how you're doing.

Towell not on bench for Brighton tonight, he has basically no football from he left here till at least July pity he didn't go on loan to get game time.

Such a waste of a talented player.

81' Sub for PNE as Horgan makes way to a standing ovation for Johnson.

#pnefc 4-1

Horgan very good in a 4-2 victory. MoM fellow Irishman Aiden McGeedy.

Daryl Horgan has settled in brilliantly and he's fast becoming a fans favourite. He set up the winner last night and he's obviously enjoying his new venture.

Andy Boyle was an unused sub. He struggled a bit at first with the training schedule but he is now up to speed and just waiting for his chance. In fairness, the 2 centre backs are exceptional at present and deserve their place in the team. Andy Boyle will get his chance!
