Did I miss the official announcement on Mceleney from Dundalk/Oldham or the player himself?
Seems he was warming up with the Oldham squad yesterday. (and hobbled off injured)

He warmed up with them yesterday but not a word on any of Oldhams 3 main forums of him hobbling off injured.

Not sure if mentioned elsewhere, but Horgan starting for PNE tonight. Live on Sky. It’s a free to air channel too. Sky sports mix. C121

Marvelous 1-0 win with a very late winner lifts them to the fringes of the playoff places

He barely got even a 50-50 ball first half. 2nd half he had one run but skyed the shot before the sheppards hook appeared. Looked very like he didnt know whether to stick or twist to get in to the game.

Cardiff were recently top of that division so it’s obviously a very good standard. However he did not play well, and at least twice in the first half he got into space and whipped in a cross only for it to be run out of play. That’s something he really needs to work on.

Just backs up the point on how incredibly hard it is over there, one average game or worse and you could be back on the bench or out of the squad completely.

I thought at the time it was a pity that Simon Grayson left, he was doing a fine job at PNE, and that could only have been a finanacial move joining that basket case club Sunderland. These moves often unsettles players. Quick wiki check, Sunderland had 12 managers including caretakers since Roy Keane left at the end of 2008!

Spot on Mike. I don’t think Daryl will expect to start the next game. I thought his crossing and shooting were poor last night, but I did think he linked play with his team mates very well and always made himself available for a pass. He does need to find a higher consistency level.

Horgan's not up to it and isn't fancied by Alex Neil. He just runs around like a headless chicken into blind allies and has little technical ability.

Boyle is not a Championship standard athlete and again, is not fancied by AN. Looked awful when he had to play when we had a defensive injury crisis.

Kevin O'Connor is also way out of his depth.

Maguire is class though.
