Before the season started. Club said that his fitness levels mainly due to injuries when he joined were not up to scratch. They. Like him very much and look forward to having him back with games under his belt and full fitness when the loan spell is over.

He's not on loan. He joined on a permanent deal
Flores had initially joined on loan in June ,but they made it permanent a few weeks.ago.

Dylan Connolly also joined Northampton during the summer.

Permanent deal confirmed yesterday for undisclosed fee. Did we get a fee from Hull for him? Would we be due any sell on although I cannot see it being much.

I believe he was a free agent as his contract was up with us, so I would say No.

Delighted to see Jamie McGrath get a start. An absolute class footballer that was a much bigger loss than was maybe realised at the time. Could be rough night for him and all of them though.

Ref absolutely shafted Ireland there.

Something we’re well used to as Dundalk fans

He was absolutely fantastic. Shame Horgan didn't get a run as I think he would have done a great better job than Connolly

Horgan should have come on instead of McClean who cost us the game

So fake money and a pig’s head..

What’s the difference between Sean Gannon and Chris Shields?

One got a hero’s farewell and the other got the above. Essentially they did the exact same thing.
Is the difference only that one of them signed for rovers?

I used to give Finn stick when he came back to OP but I actually forgot or didn’t notice he was playing last night until HT!
Yet the image that kept recurring to me all day today was Gannon scoring against rovers in Tallaght in the Mid Summer to pretty much win the league for us that year and how it made nearly a 1000 away fans feel that night.

Seeing him in that shirt was a killer. Maybe the fake money and the poultry was because it was the one who really broke our hearts

A lot took offence that Gannon never made any kind of goodbye statement, it’s a pity he didn’t, if he was unhappy at the club’s contract dealings it wasn’t the fans fault and all he had to do was say goodbye and thanks for the support. For me he’s a club legend and it’s a shame it looks like he won’t be remembered as that. Chris was smarter made a great farewell and so he doesn’t get abuse for walking away mid season when we really needed him. Chris should have been told we understand you want to go to Linfield but you need to see out your contract.

When Finn left he got work sorted with Rovers outside of football from his Degree in UCD. Dundalk couldn't match that ,they need to think of career outside of football as its a short career, and playing league of Ireland will only get you so far financially.
