Come off it lillywhite66, you know damn well that he was a fringer squad member that scored more in Ridleys and made little contribution to those squad achievements. He made a handful of appearances and scored at most 3 times here. At Rovers his goal scoring was worse for the game time he got. Harps he wasnt prolific and at 1st Division level. Linfield he has made progress but then that is against p/t Irish League clubs. He is already a journeyman at 20. As for the Burnley stuff, he probably made that up himself

He's not an ex player but a goal and in the starting line up for the last three games for Jimmy dunne at Sunderland. Fair play. Horgan on the scoresheet also

Jimmy Dunne is an exceptionally mature and grounded young lad, (especially former Manchester United academy players from the town). It was a good move to Sunderland for him and he will be a popular player there. The are going reasonably well in L1 - if they can start turning draws in to wins and win games in hand then automatic promotion is a good possibility. Dunne getting 1st team game time at that level too will be a big help to him being fit for the Championship going forward. Definitely the best prospect from the town for a long while and he wont be far from a senior call up.

Jimmy dunne is a good prospect he should do well at Sunderland and with international football in mind he's only played around 30 minutes for the rep of Ireland at any level that's not to say he can't go on to play for 21s or the senior squad in the future, will be interesting to see if stephen kenny selects him in his first squad proper for the luxemburg quaifier in march although it's on record that Jimmy did meet with michael o'neil as he qualifies for the N.ireland through a grandparent.

Shaun Williams in the Millwall side also. Connolly got a good half hour run out, pity they didnt nick an equaliser at least. Millwall have a decent shot at an upset at home for a trip to Wembley.

See Adjoran done his knee ligaments out for over six months so that will see him been sent back to Novara.

Georgie Poynton has left pats by mutual consent. Things are nosediving for Georgie recently. Back to bohs maybe?

It's a great opportunity for Georgie - he is far more likely to get consistent game time at Waterford. He badly needs a run of matches to find fitness and form.

Good luck Georige

Interview with Stephen McDonnell where he gives his reaction to Tennents Irish Cup semi-final draw putting Warrenpoint against Ballinamallard. Great chance to make the final

Is that a home draw? Might pop up to that.

Thanks for the info.

A significant event on our side that day unfortunately. Best laid plans and all that.
